Abstract

1501472 Cement burning plant PREROVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK 22 May 1975 [29 May 1974] 22337/75 Heading F4B Cement burning plant comprises a rotary kiln 1, a clinker cooler 2, shaft suspension preheaters 5 and 6, a calcining chamber 3, a conduit 7 leading flue gases from the kiln 1 to preheater 5, a material discharge pipe 11 from preheater 6 opening into said conduit 7 and a material discharge pipe 14 from preheater 5 into a conduit 8 leading into calcining chamber 3. Conduit 8 is supplied with heated air from the clinker cooler 2 and has a discharge pipe 15 for coarser material leading to the furnace head 19. Chamber 3 has a burner 21 and discharges by conduit 17 into a cyclone 4 which has a gas conduit 18 opening into preheater 6 and a material discharge pipe 9 leading to the furnace head 19. Charge material enters the system at 24, 25 and fans 22, 23 remove waste gases. In a modification (Fig. 2) the shaft preheater 6 is replaced by a suspension preheater of the cyclone type.
