Abstract

1410461 Flexible doors J MACKIE 8 Sept 1972 [22 June 1971] 29250/71 Heading E1J A closure comprises two flexible panels A, B which overlap when closed, each being suspended from a horizontal arm 4, 5 pivoted to the jamb 7, and means tending to close the door. Arms 4, 5 and tubes 2, 3 are secured to a spindle 6 pivoted in a bearing 8 on head rail I and a bearing 9 connected to a T-shaped mounting 12 on jamb 7. The connection comprises adjustable studs 14 passing through mounting 12 and engaging in holes in block 10 of bearing 9. Cords 17, secured together at 21, extend through tubes 2, 3 and over pulleys 20 and carry weights 18 to return the door to its closed position. The panels are secured to jambs 7 along their outer edges, and have a lower counter-weighted portion and a trailing sealing flap.
