Abstract
1319754 Aluminium base alloys FUCHS GmbH 5 Oct 1971 [23 Oct 1970] 46190/71 Heading C7A An aluminium base,alloy with high tensile strength comprises:- Cu 1À1-3% one #Cr 0À04-1% of V 0À05-0À2% with optional additions of:- the balance, apart from impurities, such as Fe up to 0À1% Mn less than 0À09% and Si up to 0À1%, being Al. The alloys may be solution treated, quenched in boiling water, or molten metals or salts, heated at 100-140‹C for 6-30 hours and then at 160-200‹C for 2-12 hours. Homogenization of cast ingots of the Ag-containing alloys may be effected at 440-490‹C.
