Abstract
1,211,563. Aluminium base alloy. FULMER RESEARCH INSTITUTE Ltd. Feb.20, 1968 [Feb.27, 1967], No.9285/67. Heading C7A. An aluminium base alloy comprises:- Cu 3-7% Ge 0À02-0À5% and Mg 0À1-0À5%, the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements such as Fe up to 1À5% Mn up to 1% Ni up to 2À5% Si up to 0À5%, and precipitate or grain refiners such as Ag, Cr, Ti or V in conventional amounts, being aluminium. The alloy may be solution treated at 530 C., quenched in water and aged at 150-210C.
