131,050. Vallarnaud, P. A. April 4, 1918. Sights and methods of sighting.-Relates to pendulum devices for aiming trench mortars and other guns, and comprises a box part 5, provided with means for attachment to the gun, containing a pendulum member 18 and a pointer 21, rigidly connected to the pendulum co-operating with a scale 23 on the outside of the box. In the construction shown, the device is attached to a gun by a socket 8 fitting over the left hand lug x of the backsight protector and secured by a leafspring 8<a> having opposite projections 8<b>, 8<c> fitting the recess in the lug x.
