Abstract
1391914 Endless-chain conveyers BRITISH MATHEWS Ltd 4 Jan 1973 [5 Oct 1971] 46288/71 Heading B8A [Also in Division F2] A conveyer chain comprises a plurality of similar links 2 each formed integrally of plastics material and comprising a pair of parallel arms 4 joined to lug portion 6, the lug portion 6 of one link being pivotally connected to the arms 4 of an adjacent link by a metal pin 18, and the arms 4 of each link are formed on their outer faces with guide projections 22 extending partway over the depth of the link and adapted in use to engage under inwardly extending flanges of the guide in which the horizontal run of the chain is supported, to prevent twisting of the chain. Each link preferably is formed from an acetal copolymer. The lug portion 6 is a loose fit on the pin 18 to allow some flexibility of the chain.
