1378232 Lap forming apparatus VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO - ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TSELLJULOZNO - BUMAZHNOI PROMYSHLENNOSTI 28 Sept 1972 44838/72 Heading DIN [Also in Division H1] A web forming apparatus comprises a toothed drum I for separating air feeding fibres to an air duct, an air jet slit 6 adjacent the surface of the drum, a screen 19 on which the fibres are deposited to form the web and a means for neutralising electrostatic charges on the fibres mounted at the inlet of the air duct. As described, the electrostatic charge neutraliser is a corona discharge grid 14, or a bank of ionising tubes.
