Abstract
1376581 Anti-skid braking systems TELDIX GmbH 30 March 1973 [30 March 1972] 15483/73 Heading F2F An anti-skid braking system has a first means controlling brake pressure at the front wheels in dependence on the rotary behaviour of the front wheels, a similar means controlling the rear wheel braking pressure, and means for comparing the said brake pressures or values dependent thereon and preventing a pressure increase at the front if a predetermined relationship between the pressures exists. As shown a dual master cylinder 9 supplies hydraulic fluid to the front and rear brakes in separate circuits, control valves 10 to 13 being arranged in the circuits and operated by control apparatus 14, 15 which receive signals from wheel sensors, and brake pressure measuring devices 16 to 19 are provided between the valves and produce for example a voltage proportional to the brake pressure, these voltages being compared in comparators 20, 21 one for each side of the vehicle. Alternatively pressure switches may be used to produce a signal when the front brakes exceed a relatively high threshold and other switches to produce signals when the rear pressures are below a low threshold, an AND gate producing therefrom a control output signal.
