Abstract
1362216 Sliding clasp fastener OPTI-HOLDING AG 4 Oct 1971 [10 Oct 1970] 46003/71 Heading E2S A thermoplastics sliding clasp fastener has rows of interlocking elements 6, attachment elements 3 having a hole through which the fastener may be stitched to an article 4, and a guiding flange 12 for a slider 13, the attachment elements being connected in a line by bridges 7 which are narrower than the width of their holes measured transverse to the line. The attachment elements 3 may be rectangular or square as shown and the holes are preferably wider at the top to guide the sewing needle. Longitudinal grooves 8 on the top of the bridges 7 accommodate the attaching thread and transverse notches underneath increase flexibility. The underside of the attachment elements 3 may carry projections for welding to the article. The flanges 12 are interconnected by webs 15. (For Figure see next page)
