Abstract

1361905 Electrostatic precipitators METALLGESELLSCHAFT AG 7 June 1972 [18 June 1971] 26625/72 Heading B2J A collecting electrode for a wet-type electrostatic precipitator comprises a plurality of hexagonal tubes 1 or shaped walls (4) Fig. 2 (not shown) assembled to form a honeycomb structure and provided with an earthing strip 2 of absorbent woven or non-woven plastics fabric material. The tubes or walls may be of PVC or other plastics material. In use, liquid which flows over the electrode, and renders it conductive, also moistens the strip 2 which earths the electrode through a suitable external connection 3.
