1,217,217. Benzodiazepine derivatives. BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM G.m.b.H. 1 Aug., 1968, No. 36792/68. Addition to 1,214,662. Heading C2C. Compounds of the general formula (R 3 =p-CH 3 , R 5 =7-Cl; R 3 =H, R 5 = 7-CH 3 or 8-CH 3 O; R 3 = o- or m-CF 3 , R 5 = 7-Cl; R 3 =o-Br, R 5 = 7-Cl; R 3 =o-CF 3 , R 5 = 7-CF 3 ) are prepared by standard methods, e.g. methylation. The above compounds are psychosedatives and anticonvulsants, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
