Abstract

1292880 Ventilating roofs SISENCA SA 15 Jan 1970 [20 Jan 1969] 2006/70 Heading E1W A roof construction comprises metal sheeting 1 with trapeziform corrugations supporting directly an upper thermal insulating layer 3 and communicating with air ducts 8, 10 at the ends of the corrugations so that air may flow in the channels formed between the corrugations and the insulating layer, heating means 9 being provided in ducts 10. A fan provides excess pressure in ducts 8 and throttling means 11 (i.e. bent pipes or small apertures) are also provided. The heated air then passes into the interior of the building. A dumb-bell shaped sealing strip (Fig. 4, not shown) is used between adjacent sheets 1.
