Abstract
1288974 Waveform synthesis WESTERN ELECTRIC CO Inc 25 Sept 1969 [27 Sept 1968] 47161/69 Heading H3T In apparatus for synthesizing a waveform such as parts of a sine wafevorm C are combined with parts of a half frequency sine waveform D by means of gates opened at times selected by pulses derived from waveform C so as to provide the required pulse waveform E. In Fig. 2 (not shown) waveform C is derived from a low-pass filter fed with a master square wave. Waveform D is similarly derived from a bi-stable circuit fed from the square wave. Pulses J ... P are derived by logic circuits fed from a ring counter (Fig. 4, not shown) driven by the master square wave. Pulses J ... P open gates which pass the selected parts of waveforms C and D to a combining and low-pass filter circuit.
