Abstract
1,273,938. Food preservation. RALSTON PURINA CO. 19 April, 1971 [20 April, 1970], No. 23358/71. Heading A2D. High moisture foods (containing at least 50% by weight of moisture) are preserved by the addition thereto of at least 10% by weight of propylene glycol. The food may be immersed in, injected or sprayed with the glycol. Exemplified foods are beef, egg, shrimp, fish, melon and beef-chicken based pet foods.
