Abstract
1,199,511. Knitting. R. G. McCOY. 2 Dec., 1968 [12 Jan., 1968], No. 1839/68. Heading D1K. A warp knitted fabric has laid-in warp yarns held in the fabric by the loop structure of two sets of threads forming the ground fabric. The fabric is produced on a machine having at least three guide bars in which two guide bars feed the ground threads and the other the laid in warp yarns. Alternatively the machine may have four guide bars for feeding or laying additional yarns. The lapping motions may vary from single needle spacing to a number of needles and the motion of the laying guides may be in the same direction as the ground guides.
