[Also in Division E2] A sealing boot 17 is secured against the annular surface 22 of the socket member of a ball-and-socket joint by means of a metal or plastics tubular member 23 having an inturned portion at one end defining a groove for the boot beading 21, the other end of the tubular member being engageable in a groove or undercut 25 on the socket member.
