Abstract

1,181,620. Linking machines; knitting machine. WILH. BLEYLE K.G. 8 Oct., 1968 [17 July, 1968], No. 47557/68. Headings D1C and DIG. A device for impaling knitted fabrics on the pins of a linking machine or the 'transfer bar for a knitting machine comprises two freely rotatable rollers 3, 4 with peripheral grooves to embrace the tips of the pins the roller 4 having a wider and deeper groove than the roller 3 the rollers being mounted in tanden and oscillated in the direction of the pins by an electromagnet in the casing 8. The roller 3 pushes the loops on to the tops of the pins and the following roller 4 pushes these loops further down the shanks of the pins. The device is pivoted at 14 as is located in operation by rollers on arms 16 engaging notches in the periphery of a disc 15. Provision may be made to support a source of illumination over the work.
