Abstract
1,164,594. s-Triazine derivatives. DEUTSCHE GOLDUND SILBER-SCHEIDEANSTALT. 19 Feb., 1968 [17 Feb., 1967], No. 8048/68. Heading C2C. Novel compounds and acid addition salts thereof of Formula I wherein Y is piperidino, pyrrolidino, morpholino, -N.R<SP>1</SP>.R 2 or a group of Formula A wherein R is H, C 1-6 -alkyl, C 1-6 -alkylol, C 1-6 - alkylcyano, an optionally substituted aryl group or a group of formula -CO.O.Alk, -CO.O.C 1 H 5 , -CO.Alk.O.C 6 H 5 or -COAlk.O.Alk in which Alk is C 1-4 alkyl or C 1-4 alkylene, X is a group either of formulµ R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are each H, C 1-6 alkyl or phenyl or R<SP>1</SP> in any one group may be linked to R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP> or R<SP>5</SP> in that group to form an optionally substituted heterocyclic ring or R<SP>5</SP> is C 1-6 alkenyl, cycloalkenyl or aralkenyl radical, or of formula and R<SP>6</SP> and R<SP>7</SP> are each H or C 1-6 alkyl, are prepared by one of the following methods: (a) a compound of Formula I above in which a group in the 2, 4 or 6 positions is replaced by halogen is reacted with the appropriate HX, HY or a piperazine of Formula III (b) a compound of formula is reacted with at least 2 moles of the piperazine of Formula III above, (c) a compound of formula is heated with an excess of hydrazine or with a compound with an acid-like effect to give a compound of Formula I wherein X is -NHNH 2 , and (d) a compound of Formula I wherein R is H is reacted with one of an alkyl halide, an acylating agent, a haloformic ester, an #-unsaturated nitrile, or firstly a halocarboxylic acid halide then an alkali metal alcoholate or phenate, to produce the compounds of Formula I wherein R is other than H; all methods may be followed by salt formation and/or salt interconversion. Substituted halotriazines referred to in (a) and (b) above are prepared from the di- or tri-halo-striazines by reaction with HX and/or HY. The novel compounds have antiphlogistic properties.
