Abstract

1,156,806. Soldered connections. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 4 July, 1966 [7 July, 1965], No. 29912/66. Heading H2E. The connecting wires of an electric component to be mounted on a printed circuit board are made parallel at their free ends and are locally flattened to maintain the component in the required position on the board while the wires are soldered, the deformation being such that a flat surface of one wire is inclined to a flat surface of another. The planes of deformation 4, 14 of a two-wire component are at right angles.
