Abstract

1,036,325. Blade dispensers. PHILIP MORRIS Inc. Oct. 18, 1963 [Oct. 26, 1962], No. 41309/63. Heading B8P. [Also in Division A5] A blade dispenser 1 in which the blade may be advanced to an exposed position by an action similar to that of an hypodermic syringe comprises a casing 2 having a finger grip 23 and a blade ejector 3. Vertical posts 5 and 6 in the casing engage apertures 17 in a stack of blades 7, the blades being pressed against the top of the casing by a spring 10. When the ejector 3 is pushed forward, a nut 9 depresses the post 5 thus releasing the top blade for ejection. As the blade is further ejected the upwardly sloping front portion 14 of the casing keeps it against the ejector. In a second embodiment the extension 13 is dispensed with and the top end 33 (Fig. 12, not shown) of wall 32 slopes upwards. In a third embodiment, the post 5 is replaced by a cut-out section projecting from the casing to retain all but the topmost blade.
