Abstract

1,014,028. Electric lift trucks. HANS HILL A.G. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 3, 1963], No. 31693/64. Heading B7H. In an electric lift truck carrying a mast 6 at the front and having a driving seat 1 mounted on a rear part 2 housing driving and steering mechanism, batteries 8 are carried beneath a floor 3 disposed between the mast 6 and the front wall 4 of the rear part 2 and on both sides of a wall 7 which accommodates part of the steering mechanism and operating mechanism for load handling forks on the mast 6. The batteries 8 and the floor 3 may extend alongside the mast 6 as shown. A steering column 9 is displaceable about a pivot 10 to facilitate battery changing. The mast 6 is displaceable forwardly of the truck, or the forks may be displaceable forwardly on the mast.
