Abstract

1,013,253. Locking nuts. C. H. HANFLANDJune 7, 1962 [June 7, 1961], No. 22098/62 Heading F2H. A locking nut has at least one slot extending obliquely to the axis from one side into the bore and spaced from an annular collar at one end of the nut. In the examples shown there are two slots 17, 18 and 26, 27. In Fig. 1, the collar 12 is an extension of the nut body. In Fig. 2 the collar 28 is formed in part by an annular recess 23 in the nut body.
