Abstract

1,071,994. Stoppers. D. BARANNE. Dec. 13, 1965 [Aug. 4, 1965], No. 62773/65. Heading B8T. A captive stopper for a tube comprises a screw cap having a central hole 46 which co-operates with a plug member 35 mounted within a tubular body 33, the plug member having lateral apertures 44 and a cylindrical collar 38 which engages a skirt 50 depending from the inner top wall of the cap. The stopper is similar in construction to that described in Specification 986,969 but includes the liquid-tight seals formed by the collar 38 engaging the skirt 50 and a rib 51 engaging a bead 41 at the top of the tubular body 33. Also, the cap is held captive on the tube neck 32 by a bead 52 abutting the base of the bead 41.
