[Also in Division F1] Crankcase oil fumes are delivered to an engine intake manifold through a pipe 10 containing a suction-actuated valve 1 which controls ports 3 ... 5 admitting extra air. The valve 1 comprises a plunger with a passage 1e therethrough through which the oil fumes flow, the end 1d of the valve being grooved to ensure a flow passage when the valve is forced against the end wall 2a. The number of extra air inlets 3... 5 opened by the plunger 1 increases as the intake manifold suction increases.
