Un élément électrochimique (1) de type pochette comprenant :a) un jeu de plaques comprenant au moins une plaque négative (9), au moins une plaque positive (8) et au moins un séparateur (14) interposé entre ladite au moins une plaque négative et ladite au moins une plaque positive, dans lequel jeu de plaques :- ladite au moins une plaque négative comporte deux bords opposés en forme d’arc de cercle et deux bords opposés rectilignes et- ladite au moins une plaque positive comporte deux bords opposés en forme d’arc de cercle et deux bords opposés rectilignes,b) une borne de sortie de courant positive (4) connectée à ladite au moins une plaque positive, une borne de sortie de courant négative (5) connectée à ladite au moins une plaque négative, la borne de sortie de courant positive et la borne de sortie de courant négative étant situées sur des bords opposés (2, 2’) du jeu de plaques.
