Abstract

The valve comprises a body (1) with feed and outlet ducts and a membrane shut-off element (11) actuated by a piston (8). The membrane is of a deformable material but with low elasticity prior to creep and is fixed to the end of the piston with an intermediate joint (9) of appropriate shape, especially toroid. An insert (10) of a hard material with low deformability is able to float between the piston and the membrane, and the facing surfaces of the piston and membrane are shaped so they clip together.
