La plaque de sol (1) sera confectionnée en métal déployé pour une bonne adhérence de la coque sur la semelle.A l'inverse, lorsqu'on cherchera une réponse plus souple du dispositif, on diminuera le lest et on retiendra une lisse supérieure au moment d'inertie plus faible. En effet, toute augmentation de raideur, bénéfique pour la sécurité des poids-lourds, se traduira par une moindre aptitude à se déformer et donc une réponse plus sèche pour les véhicules légers. Le choix des paramètres relève donc du compromis, ou d'une option bien arrêtée pour l'itinéraire concerné.
