Abstract

The distributor is for paste and curved material has a conical hollow body (1) with an end circular hole (2). Against this presses a ball (5) of larger diameter held by a spring (4) against the hole. The other end of the spring presses on an internal shoulder (3) on the body (1). The body has a shoulder (7) supported base skirt (6) with an internal thread (8). Into this is screwed a supply (10) bottle neck. A temporary stopper (12) can be fitted in the neck, to be removed before use.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device for dispensing pasty materials such as glue and the like.

 Various devices are known for distributing pasty materials which generally consist of a hollow body of generally frustoconical shape, the small base of which is pierced with an opening which is masked by a ball pushed by a spring.

 Such devices are integral with a container containing the pasty material. To proceed with the distribution, the ball is applied to the part intended to receive the pasty material so that it clears the opening, then the latter is placed. here on said piece.

Such devices are relatively expensive, because complex to manufacture, moreover, the assembly consisting of the dispensing device and the container being integral, it is no longer possible, when the container is empty, to refill it and the assembly must to be thrown
The present invention has in particular the possibility of producing a dispensing device of a simple design which overcomes the various drawbacks mentioned above.

 The device which is the subject of the present invention is of the type comprising a hollow body of generally frustoconical shape and comprising a circular opening at its end, a ball of a diameter greater than that of the circular opening and a spring tending to apply the ball against the edges of the opening, and is characterized in that the hollow body is extended by a skirt internally comprising a thread and and connected to said body by a shoulder.

 Thanks to this arrangement, a dispensing device is produced which can be mounted on all the bottles, the neck of which is provided with a corresponding screw pitch.

 According to a particular constructive characteristic, the hollow body internally comprises a shoulder against which bears the end of the spring opposite to that cooperating with the ball.

 In yet another characteristic, the shoulder against which the spring bears is formed by a rib in the internal part of the body.

 Finally, according to an alternative embodiment, the shoulder against which the spring bears is constituted by a ring engaged in the body and comprising a groove in its lateral surface intended to cooperate with a bead of the internal wall of the body.

 The device shown in Figure 1 comprises a body 1 of generally frustoconical shape whose end is pierced with a circular opening 2. The body 1 has interior stir a rib 3 against which bears one of the ends of a spring conical spiral 4 whose other end cooperates with a ball 5 of a diameter greater than that of the opening 2. The body I is extended by a skirt 6 connected to said body 1 by a shoulder 7, said skirt internally comprising a pitch of screw 8. The skirt 6 can be screwed onto the thread 9 of a neck 11 of a bottle 10, the shoulder 7 resting against the upper edge of said neck. For transport and to avoid any risk of leakage of the product contained in the bottle 10, there may be provided a cup-type stopper 12 interposed between the shoulder 7 and the upper edge of the neck 11, said stopper 12 being removed before using the dispensing device.

 In Figure 2 there is shown an alternative embodiment of the device which comprises a body 14 of generally frustoconical shape with a dispensing opening 15 capable of being closed by a ball 16 pushed by a spring 17 which bears against a boat 18 engaged in a housing 19 of the body, housing in which there is provided a bead 20 intended to coo ner with a groove 21 of the ring 19. The body 14 is extended by a skirt 22 provided with an internal thread 23 and connected to said body by a shoulder 24. In this embodiment, the spring 17 which is a conical spiral spring bears against the ring 18, the latter being engaged in the housing 19 by means of its elastic deformation and being fixed in said housing by the bead 20 -which fits into the throat 21.

 It is understood that the device according to the invention is simple and inexpensive to manufacture and that it can be mounted on all kinds of flexible or rigid bottles to allow the distribution of pasty product and more particularly of glue.

 In the case where the pasty product is very thick, it is preferable to use flexible bottles in order to facilitate the distribution by a pressure exerted on the wall of the bottle.

 In Figure 3 there is shown a third mode of reslton of the invention in which the device comprises a body 25 of generally frustoconical shape whose upper end is provided with a circular opening 27, while the lower end is extended by a flange 28 which forms a shoulder.

 In the body 1, in the vicinity of the collar 28, there is provided a rib 29 against which one of the ends of a conical spiral spring 30 bears, the other end of which cooperates with a ball 31 intended to close off the circular opening 27. There is a screw cap 26 pierced with a central opening 32 through which the body 25 passes, the shoulder 28 bearing against the part of the screw cap-adjacent to the opening 32. Such a device operates the same way as those of FIGS. 1 and 2 and allows when it is desired to mount on a bottle a colored stopper, to be able to produce the body 25 in transparent material so as to allow the pasty product to be dispensed to flow.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described and shown. Many modifications of details can be made there without departing from the scope of the invention.

R E V E N P I C A T I O N S  10 - Device for dispensing pasty material of the type comprising a hollow body (1) of frustoconical general shape and comprising a circular opening (2) at its end, a ball (5) with a diameter greater than that of the circular opening ( 2) and a spring (4) tending to apply the ball (5) against the edges of the opening (2), characterized in that the hollow body (1) is extended by a skirt (6) having an internal pitch of screw (8) and connected to said body (1) by a shoulder (7).  20 - device for distributing pasty material, according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow body (1) has internally a shoulder (3) against which bears the end of the spring (4) opposite to that cooperating with the ball ( 5).  30 - Device for distributing pasty material, according to claim 2, characterized in that the shoulder against which the spring (4) bears is constituted by a rib (3) of the internal wall of the body (1).  40 - Device for distributing pasty material, according to claim 2, characterized in that the shoulder against which the spring (4) bears is constituted by a ring (18) engaged in the body (14) and comprising a groove (21) in its lateral surface intended to cooperate with a for a relet (20) of the internal wall of the body (14).
