Abstract

The invention relates to a device making it possible to use one and the same truck for two different types of handling operation. It consists of a shield 7 which is formed by three panels between which are disposed two channels 4 intended to receive the forks of the truck when the latter only transports hanging meat and is complemented by a transparent sheet of glass 3 separating the driver's part 10 from the load part and from a flap 9 intended to prevent splashes. A bow 2 prevents the hanging meat from coming into contact with the raised forks. When the forks 5 are lowered, the handling operation acts on them. It is possible to hang "short" pieces of meat from the hooks 1 and put boxed meat on the forks at the same time.

DESCRIPTION l-Currently, to handle the meat, two kinds of trolley
are necessary: -A trolley used to transport quarters of meat hanging on hooks.

-A trolley to transport the meat in the crate., Vacuum packed, and where the crates are stacked on the forks or on a tray.

-A) Handling of carcass meats:
To comply with hygiene standards, contact of the meat with materials which do not comply with food hygiene rules must be avoided, and to do this, the meat is suspended on stainless steel hooks or other food-approved material, and a shield of the same material separates the operator part from the payload part.

-B) Handling of meat in boxes:
It is done on the forks of a forklift, and there are few constraints, because the meat is protected from contact by its packaging.

II --- Thanks to my new protection system, one and the same cart
is used for both kinds of handling.

-A) Handling of meat in crates on pallets: the forks of the trolley will be lowered and the crates will be handled normally.

-B) Handling of meat in carcasses: the forks will be raised in the corridors fitted out in ltepai
the shield and the meats will be suspended from the hooks and protected from contact with the top of the forks by a hoop.

III- Here are the different parts of my cart fitted with my
shield; N l- Hooks for meat.

N02- Roll bar on which the suspended "short" meats are wedged
to avoid contact with the top of the forks.

N0 3-Transparent glass completing the separation between the driver's part
and the payload part, and located above the shield.

N0 4- Corridors to receive the raised forks: the two corridors
between the three panels making up the shield are the width

-It is possible to hang "short" meat on the hooks, and put meat in the crate on the lowered forks, at the same time. In addition, on this set, there is no cutting part, avoiding any injury to the meats.

Claims (1)

 CLAIM Device for handling meat in carcass and in crate on a single trolley, characterized in that it comprises a shield (7) made of food-approved material, formed by three panels at the joint of which are arranged in the thickness 1 two corridors ( 4) intended to receive the forks of the trolley when the latter only carries suspended meats, and completed by a transparent glass (3) between the forklift truck part (10) and the payload part, as well as by a flap (9) , intended to prevent any projection of the wheels on the meats, while an arch (2) preserves the meats from contact with the top of the raised forks.  It is possible to handle meat in the carcass and in the box at the same time, by lowering the forks (5) for the meat in the box: and using the hooks (1) for the carcasses.
