Abstract

Procédé de concentration de biomasses par coagulation de la matière solide d'une suspension de fermentation sous l'action d'un courant électrique. On soumet la suspension à l'action d'un courant électrique ayant une fréquence de 0 à 2 000 Hz, de préférence de 0 à 50 Hz, en particulier de 0 Hz (le courant étant alors un courant continu) avec une densité de courant pouvant aller jusqu'à 10 mA/cm**2, et à une température de 20 à 100 degrés C. On opère par exemple en discontinu avec agitation ou circulation de la suspension, dans une cellule en forme d'auge 1. Application au traitement des suspensions de micro-organismes provenant de réaction de fermentation, tels que des bactéries, des levures ou des mycètes.
