Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition à combustion retardée et un procédé de préparation de cette composition. Selon l'invention, on mélange un copolymère acétate de vinyle-éthylène contenant environ 20 à 90 % en poids d'acétate de vinyle et, par 100 parties du copolymère, environ 10 à 50 parties de polyéthylène chloré et environ 70 à 300 parties d'alumine hydratée. Ces compositions peuvent être appliquées au revêtement de conducteurs électriques et constituent de bons retardateurs de combustion.
