Abstract

The engine (1) is fitted with a gas turbine (13) driven by the exhaust gas of the engine. The turbine drives the pump (17). The pump may be of the gear type and handles hydraulic fluid stored in a tank (19). The speed of the pump is set by the gear reducer (16) between the pump and turbine. The engine may be supercharged by a second turbine in the exhaust (24) driving an air compressor (26).
