Abstract

L'invention a pour objet une cathode émissive en hexaborure de lanthane (LaB6 ). Le corps émissif 1 est encastré dans un élément auxiliaire 2 qui est également en contact avec la résistance de chauffage 3. La température de fonctionnement de la cathode est obtenue par transmission de la chaleur dégagée par la résistance à travers l'élément 2. Celui-ci est réalisé en un matériau qui ne réagit pas avec le LaB6 . Application notamment aux tubes générateurs de faisceaux d'électrons.
