Abstract
The heating and electrical power source is based on the use of heat pumps. The source design minimises losses providing a higher output. The source is based on a heat pump, an electrical generator, energy stores and a heat engine whose losses are recovered, providing calorific energy and which is also used to optimise the heat pump function. The heat engine is used either to drive the pump to provide an electrical output, the change of function being effected automatically or by some other means. The heat engine function is maintained constant by the energy stores which also improve the system output during specific periods absorbing any excess energy and returning it at some later time. Efficiency can be increased by 37.5% over an orthodox system.
