Abstract
A lens (22') is applied against the edge of the optical fibre (13') in the first channel which deviates the rays coming from this channel so that parallel beam of rays is produced whose cross-section is increased w.r.t. the edge. This beam is focussed by a similar lens device (22) on the second channel. The lenses (22, 22') are plano-convex and the plane face is applied against the front face of a guidance block (16, 16') which guides the protruding optical fibre w.r.t. its outer sleeve. The connector may also be formed as a multilens structure for an optical fibre cable.
