Abstract

The vehicle break in detector has a magnetic field variation detector placed near to an electrical conductir (14) whose current, when the breakin is attempted, varies. The detector supplying an electrical signal which is used to trigger an alarm. The detector (16) is a current transformer whose primary is the electrical conductor (14). The detection signal is produced at the terminals of a secondary winding which is cut by the magnetic field created by the current flowing in the primary winding. The transformer has a two part (18, 20) magnetic circuit. The secondary winding (16) being wound round one of these parts. The two parts being applied against each other so as to surround the conductor and to close the magnetic circuit.
