Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the degree of degrading of an insulating material with a high sensitivity, by using two coils to run a current as obtained by vectorial subtraction of current flowing through an impedance from a total current of a main circuit to a primary winding of one coil. CONSTITUTION:When current flows through a main circuit 4, a total current of the main circuit runs to a primary winding 11 of a coil 1, while current resulting from vectorial subtraction of current flowing through an impedance 3 from the total current of the main circuit runs to a primary winding 12 of the coil 1. The current flows in series through the primary winding 12 of a coil 2. Then, a magnetomotive force of a cure 1A gives a vector difference between a magnetomotive force attributed to current of the primary winding 11 and that attributed to current of the primary winding 12. Then, a degrading signal element of an insulating material comprising a signal in a high frequency or a pulse overlapped with the current of the main circuit is obtained as voltage signal discriminated from a secondary winding 13 of the coil 1 or the secondary winding 22 of the coil 2. A core forming the coils 1 and 2 should be made of an amorphous alloy mainly composed of cobalt.
