Abstract

The protective enclosure (1) encloses electronic components (5) which are mounted vertically onto a circuit board and protects them from damage. The enclosure consists of a rectangular insulating block with cavities of shape appropriate for accommodating the components. The block has tubular or tapered legs or spacers (2) on its underside to allow air to circulate around the components. The block is held to the board by hooked wires (3) which pass through holes (4) in the block.
