Abstract
L'invention concerne les piles primaires alcalines à dépolarisation par air à électrolyte pateux, et en particulier, leur électrode positive. L'électrode positive contenant un catalyseur de réduction de l'oxygène atmosphérique sous la forme de bioxyde de manganèse, le carbone et une solution de potasse caustique, se caractérise, selon l'invention, en ce que ledit catalyseur est le bioxyde de manganèse électrolytique ou synthétique de forme gamma. L'invention peut être utilisée pour les piles et les batteries rondes ou plates à électrolyte alcalin.
