Abstract

The container comprises a single layer wound sleeve section with a lengthwise seam, and an inserted base joined to it by a rolled-over portion, with the aid of glue or weld seam as necessary. For easy emptying, one or more tear-out strips are formed in the sleeve section, reaching from the upper edge to the base. A pair of such strips can be provided, wide enough at the bottom to allow distortion of the rolled over portion on bending the halves of the base. Where the container is of polygonal section, the width of the strip at the top can be the same as that of a side. The strip can be joined by a perforation to the container, and there can be a rolled over section at the mouth, or a flange, the strip continuing through this and ending in a lug.
