Abstract

Four brake cylinders (10AV), (10AR) act on the vehicle wheels. A source of fluid pressure (11) is taken to the brake cylinders by separate circuits (12A), (12B) under control of pedal device (13). Source (11) is a pump (14), with inlet (15) connected by line (16) to a reservoir (17) outlet (18) being connected to circuits (12A), (12B). There are also reservoirs (20A) (20B). A pressure regulator (29) is placed between a large chamber of a rear brake cylinder and a small chamber of a front brake cylinder. Spool type valves which are normally open and responsive to fluid pressure are connected between the brake circuits and the pump.
