Abstract

Nuevo procedimiento de preparación de la 3-metilmercapto-4-amino-6-ter-butil-1,2,4-triazin-5-ona, que es un conocido herbicida, y de la 3-metilmercapto-4-amino-6-(1-metil-ciclopropil)-1,2,4-triazin-5-ona, que hasta ahora, no ha sido descrita y es activo igualmente como herbicida selectivo. La 3-metilmercapto-4-amino-6-ter-butil-1,2,4-triazin-5-ona puede ser preparada, por reacción de cloruro de pivaloílo con un isonitrilo, hidrólisis del cloruro de imida formado para formar la amida de ácido alfa-cetocarboxílico y reacción ulterior de la amida con tiocarbohidrazida en un disolvente polar, eventualmente en presencia de un catalizador ácido. El compuesto 3-mercáptico sólo puede obtenerse con rendimientos de aproximadamente 60% ó 79%.
