Abstract
A method of starting a force installation in which, during normal operation, a vaporizable fluid is passed successively through a first heating zone and a second heating zone to a steam turbine, said method comprising: passing vaporizable fluid at approximately full throttle pressure of the turbine through the first heating zone in indirect heat transfer relationship with the heating gases and at a predetermined rate substantially lower than that of the full load flow; passing a substantial part of the outflow from the first heating zone through the second heating zone in indirect color transfer relation with the heating gases; passing the outflow from the second zone, heating to the separation zone while decreasing its pressure to cause part of the fluid to suddenly turn into steam; recirculated filtering through the first heating zone, from the second heating zone and from the separation zone to the first heating zone, to increase the enthalpy of the output flow of the second heating zone to a predetermined value, while the fluid pressure in the separation zone is increased to a predetermined value substantially less than the full throttle pressure of the turbine; passing steam formed in the separation zone to the turbine to heat and rotate the turbine; maintain the pressure in the first heating zone and in the second heating zone at approximately the full throttle pressure of the turbine, while regulating the flow of fluid from the second zone, heating to the separation zone so that the enthalpy of the fluid discharging from the second heating zone is maintained at about said predetermined value; gradually establish the equilibrium of fluid pressures between the second heating zone and the turbine, by passing flow out of the second heating zone to the turbine at a rate that provides a gradual increase in the flow to the turbine, while the flow of steam from the separation zone to the turbine is interrupted; and interrupting the flow of fluid from the second heating zone to the separation zone.
