Abstract

1408623 Air flow regulating valve SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 26 Oct 1972 [2 Nov 1971] 49423/72 Heading F4V [Also in Division F2] A constant flow regulator for a ventilation duct has a damper 5 carried by a plate 7 pivoted at 13, the plate responding to the pressure differential thereacross, as established by an adjustable vane 16 pivoted at 17, to cause the damper to vary the outflow opening 6. The air is constrained to flow only through opening 6 by a fixed plate 2. The plate 7 may be connected to an hydraulic damper 19 and may carry a counterweight and be biased clockwise by a torsion spring around shaft 13. Plate 7 preferably an area equal to that of casing 1, and the opening 18 should be 3 times the area of each gap 3, 3a.
