Abstract
Prensa para el forjado de piezas de latón, a partir de bloques en caliente de dicho metal, del tipo formado por una estructura soldada, constituyendo la bancada y el cuerpo superior, y provista de volante de inercia, eje excéntrico y biela de accionamiento del cabezal, caracterizada esencialmente por preverse en el interior de la bancada, un bloque de presión accionado hidráulicamente y sobre el que estará apoyada la mesa inferior de la prensa cuyo bloque, cuando esté activado, mantendrá dicha mesa inferior hacia arriba y en la posición normal de trabajo, lo que permite la absorción de los esfuerzos generados sobre los moldes por la acción del forjado, mientras que cuando deje de estar accionado por dicha presión, permitirá que la mencionada mesa inferior pueda descender una carrera predeterminada, según el dimensionado de las piezas en proceso de forjado, disponiéndose así de un espacio más, que suficiente para que, en caso de bloqueo accidental del cabezal de la prensa, éste pueda finalizar su ciclo operativo.
