Dies ist dadurch verursacht, dass die hierfür genutzten Einrichtungen, sog. Auspacker, mit ihren Entnahme-Tulpen über den Flaschenkopf fahren, um die Flasche aus dem Behälter herauszuheben. Wenn nun die Flaschen sehr tief im Behälter stehen, ist dieses Vorgehen nahezu unmöglich. Folglich haben Transportbehälter für kurze Flaschen eine geringe Höhe. Das zieht aber unter Umständen Nachteile bei der Beförderung der Kästen in den Abfüll- und Reinigungsanlagen nach sich, da die Anlagen üblicherweise in der Lage sein sollen, verschiedene Kastenformate befördern zu können. Um eine Förderung von Kästen für kurze Flaschen auf einer üblichen Förderanlage zu ermöglichen und gleichzeitig den oben genannten Anforderungen vollständig zu genügen, ist aus der DE 20 2020111 629 U1 ein Transportbehälter bekannt, bei dem der Boden, auf dem die Flaschen aufstehen, gegenüber der Unterseite des Kastens erhöht angeordnet ist, so dass eine Art Aussparung gebildet ist. Zwar erfüllt der Kasten die oben genannten Anforderungen und weist zudem eine Gesamthöhe auf, die für eine Beförderung auf üblichen Anlagen geeignet ist. Allerdings hat sich herausgestellt, dass die Beförderung auf den Anlagen aufgrund der bodenseitigen Aussparung unter Umständen problematisch ist, weil die Förderanlagen in der Regel mit Förderketten arbeiten, die schmaler sind als der Kasten in Förderposition breit ist. Durch die Aussparung auf der Unterseite des Kastens können die Ketten am Kasten nicht großflächig angreifen, was für eine störungsfreie Beförderung nachtteilig ist. Hinzu kommt, dass die Stabilität des Kastens aufgrund der Aussparung nicht ausreichend ist. Flaschenkästen müssen nach den gesetzlichen Vorgaben einen Sturz aus 3 m Höhe bei vollständiger Befüllung unbeschadet überstehen.
