Description

The present invention relates to a skirting board, a ceiling molding and a window or door frame insulation strip.

From the DE 10 2014 115 656 A1 a skirting board, a ceiling molding and a window or door frame insulation strip is known.

EP 1 359 267 A2 shows a core skirting board with a material core, a plastic sheathing and a floor end profile made of flexible material which is arranged on the underside of the board and protrudes by a predetermined amount on the room side. The bar of said document shows all the features of the preamble of claim 1. It also shows all the features of the preambles of claims 3 and 5 apart from the respective intended use.

The inventors have found that if such strips are designed with one or two projecting lips, they often break off during transport but also during assembly in the respective installation situation, and that this effect is particularly noticeable in autumn, winter and spring and particularly intensified at sub-zero temperatures.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to specify a skirting board, a ceiling molding and a window or door frame insulation strip in which the at least one protruding lip can break off both during transport and during installation in the respective installation situation throughout the year and is prevented over all commonly occurring temperature ranges.

This object is solved by the subject matter of the independent patent claims. Advantageous developments result from the dependent claims.

A skirting board according to the invention for arrangement on a building transition between a lower wall end and an adjacent floor area comprises the features of claim 1.

A window or door frame insulating strip according to the invention for arrangement at the transition between window or door frame and building wall or reveal of a building wall comprises the features of claim 3.

A ceiling strip according to the invention for arrangement on a building transition between an upper wall end and an adjacent ceiling area comprises the features of claim 5.

According to a basic idea of the present invention, the at least regional introduction of a layer, in particular a reinforcement layer or a support layer, into the lower pull-away lip and/or in the upper pull-away lip, which is a more flexible material than the base material of the lower and/or has upper rag lip, tearing open or breaking of the lower and / or upper rag lip in a deformation of the same reliably avoided.

As a result, the unbreakable deformability of the lower and/or upper tear-off lip is seen throughout the year and is significantly improved across all temperature ranges that usually occur.

Deformation of the pull-away lip is understood to mean bending, compression, compression, stretching or a combination thereof.

Internal tests have shown that such a layer, in particular a reinforcement layer and support layer, in the lower pull-away lip and/or in the upper pull-away lip prevents tearing or breaking of the same over the entire temperature range that usually occurs from -20° Celsius to + 50° Celsius is guaranteed. temperatures from this Temperature range skirting, ceiling and window or door frame insulating strips are exposed to during transport and outdoors. Indoors, the temperature range to which the skirting, ceiling and window or door frame insulating strips are exposed is less extensive, especially at the lower end, and is usually in the positive temperature range.

Thus, the breakage problem that occurs with conventional base, ceiling and window or door frame insulating strips is significantly reduced or even completely avoided both during transport and during installation in the installation situation.

The layer(s), in particular reinforcement or support layer(s), can be designed differently.

What all variants have in common, however, is that due to the choice of material, due to the low thickness of the layer(s) or due to a combination thereof, they have a flexibility that allows the projecting lip to be deformed, e.g. bent, compressed, compressed, Calling a stretch, or a combination thereof, while supporting the offending rag lip from within.

This reliably prevents tearing or breaking of the material of the projecting lip or at the transition from the projecting lip to the main body.

At this point it should be emphasized that the present invention also encompasses skirting, ceiling and window or door frame insulation strips, in which a layer, in particular a reinforcement layer or a support layer, is introduced at least in some areas only in the case of a protruding lip. which has a more flexible material than the base material of this projecting lip to avoid tearing or breaking of this projecting lip when deforming this projecting lip.

When all three types of skirting boards, ceiling and window or door frame insulating strips are referred to below, the generic term "strip" is used.

Typical heights of such strips are in the range between 40 and 150mm. The projecting lips can have a tapering width, in particular in the direction towards the tip thereof.

The at least regional introduction of the layer, in particular the reinforcement layer or the support layer, into the lower and/or upper pull-away lip, which has a more flexible material than the base material of the lower and/or upper pull-away lip, can take place in any suitable manner, e.g. by back-injection or by co-extrusion.

According to a first embodiment of the skirting board, the rear side of the base body is intended to bear against the lower wall end in the position of the skirting board arranged at the transition between the lower wall end and the adjoining floor area.

According to a first embodiment of the window or door frame insulating strip, the rear of the base body is intended to rest against the building wall or the reveal of the building wall in the position of the insulating strip arranged at the transition between the window or door frame and the building wall or reveal of the building wall.

The embodiments and advantages described below apply both to the baseboard and to the window or door frame insulating strip.

The upper projecting lip may attach to the front end of the top of the body and extend obliquely rearwardly upward therefrom, covering the portion of the top of the body rearward therefrom.

The lower projecting lip may attach to the front end of the underside of the body and extend obliquely forward and downward therefrom, covering the portion of the underside of the body rearward therefrom.

This ensures a particularly advantageous seal to the lower end of the wall or the reveal or thermal insulation on the one hand and to the floor area or the window or door frame on the other hand.

The protruding direction of the lower protruding lip and/or the upper protruding lip can have an angle of 0.5-89.5°, in particular of 30-80° with the plane of the front of the base body or with the plane of the rear include the body.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper control lip is substantially parallel to the front and/or rear of the lower control lip and/or upper control lip.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper control lip extends over the entire length of the lower and/or upper control lip; or it extends in the lower and/or upper check-out lip only over a middle and over a portion of the lower and/or upper check-out lip towards the main body, leaving the tip of the lower and/or upper check-out lip free . This gives a particularly high tear and break resistance.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper pull-away lip has two layer sections spaced apart from one another. Two or more layer sections spaced apart from one another can support the areas which in practice are exposed to the greatest risk of breakage and tearing.

The first layer section can extend over a middle area of the lower and/or upper projecting lip, and the second layer section can extend over an area of the lower and/or upper projecting lip facing the main body. This supports the middle section of the protruding lip and the transition to the main body.

According to a further embodiment, the layer or the second layer section in the lower and/or upper protruding lip extends to the base body, in particular to the underside of the base body, at the lower protruding lip, and/or to the top of the main body, at the upper ragging lip; in particular with the formation of a curvature, so that the base body-side end area of the lower projecting lip is located essentially parallel to the underside of the base body and/or so that the base body-side end area of the upper projecting lip is located essentially parallel to the top side of the base body.

As a result, the transition area between the protruding lip and the base body, which, as the inventors have found out, has a particularly high risk of breaking and tearing the material, is protected particularly reliably against this.

Both the transition from the projecting lip to the main body and the middle section of the projecting lip can thus be supported by corresponding layer sections.

According to a further embodiment, a separate layer section, in particular a reinforcement layer or supporting layer section, is also provided in the base body, in particular in a central area of the base body, parallel to its rear side, which has a more flexible material than the rest of the material of the base body. Such a separate layer section can reliably prevent the material from splitting on the back of the base body, e.g. when inserting a nail or a screw for fastening.

According to another embodiment, the layer extends through the lower hang-away lip, through the upper hang-away lip, and through the entire body; or it extends over a middle and over a portion toward the body of the lower check-out lip and the upper check-out lip, leaving the tips of the lower check-out lip and the upper check-out lip, and over the entire body.

As a result, the protruding lips and the base body are completely or almost completely supported by such a layer, and material breakage and tearing of the material can be avoided over the entire height of the strip, possibly by omitting the soft tips of the protruding lips .

In another embodiment, the portion of the layer extending through the body is a continuous extension of the layer in the body-facing portion of the lower projecting lip and a continuous extension of the layer in the body-facing portion of the upper projecting lip .

The area of the layer running through the base body can run parallel to the front side of the base body and/or run closer to the front side than to the back side of the base body.

According to a further embodiment, the area of the layer running through the base body has an area running parallel to the rear side of the base body, an angled area running essentially parallel and spaced from the underside of the base body, and an angled area running essentially parallel and spaced therefrom the top of the body extending area.

The area running essentially parallel and at a distance from the underside of the base body can be connected to the layer area in the lower protruding lip.

The area running essentially parallel and at a distance from the upper side of the base body can be connected to the layer area in the upper projecting lip.

The area running parallel to the rear of the base body can be arranged closer to the rear than to the front of the base body.

The tip of the lower salient lip and/or the upper salient lip may be made of a soft plastic material, particularly softer than the base material of the lower salient lip and/or the upper salient lip, and in particular with the base material of the lower carry-away lip and/or the upper carry-away lip is coextruded.

The interface between the tip and the remaining area of the lower projecting lip and/or the upper projecting lip can essentially run perpendicularly or obliquely to the main direction of extension of the lower projecting lip and/or the upper projecting lip.

With such a tip, the respective projecting lip can rest more flexibly on the lower end of the wall/the floor area or on the wall or reveal area or the window or door frame.

Alternatively, the layer of the lower and/or upper hang-up lip may extend only over a central and over a body-facing portion of the back of the lower hang-up lip and/or the upper hang-up lip, leaving the tip of the lower salient lip and/or the upper salient lip. This represents a particularly good compromise between breaking and tearing resistance of the protruding lip while at the same time allowing the tip to be put on flexibly.

The following embodiments apply to all types of strips according to the invention: skirting, ceiling and window or door frame insulating strips:
The base body can be a plastic material, in particular a foamed plastic material or a plastic composite material, in particular a foamed plastic composite material, e.g. a wood plastic composite WPC, or a plastic mixture of different plastics, e.g. a rigid PVC+W-PVC mixture or a PP+TPE mixture .

According to a variant, the layer comprises a flexible plastic, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer TPE or a flexible PVC, and can be coextruded with the base and the projecting lips.

According to a further variant, the layer has a foamed plastic material or a foamed plastic composite material, e.g. a wood plastic composite WPC or a plastic mixture of different plastics, e.g. a rigid PVC+W-PVC mixture or a PP+TPE mixture, and can be Be co-extruded body and the Wegrag lips.

The flexibility results from the material, and in principle almost any layer thickness can be provided. Typically, such a layer has a layer thickness of 0.3 to 0.5 mm.

According to a further variant, the layer has a plastic, in particular a hard plastic, in particular polypropylene PP, polyethylene PE or a hard PVC, and can be coextruded with the base body and the protruding lips. The flexibility results from a small layer thickness, which is typically in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 mm. Such a thin layer can ensure the necessary flexibility.

Basically, the softer the plastic material chosen for the layer, the thicker the layer thickness can be, and vice versa.

According to a further variant, the layer is designed as a lacquer layer or as a foil layer, and can have been introduced in a suitable manner into the base body and into the protruding lips.

A metal can even be selected for the layer, which has been suitably introduced into the base body and into the protruding lips, in which case the layer thickness must be selected correspondingly small and typically in the range of 0.1 - 0.4 mm, in particular from 0.2-0.3 mm.

The invention also relates to a building transition between a lower wall end and an adjacent floor area, with a skirting board of the type described here arranged thereon,
wherein the baseboard is arranged at the building transition,
  • that the front and/or top of its body, the front of its lower projecting lip and/or the front of its upper projecting lip face away from the lower wall end and from the floor area and form a visible area,
  • that the back and/or underside of its body, the back of its lower projecting lip and/or the back of its upper projecting lip face the lower wall end and the floor area and form a non-visible area; and
  • that the tip of the lower projecting lip abuts the floor area, and/or the tip of the upper projecting lip abuts the lower wall end.

The advantages and embodiments mentioned above result for this, which are not repeated again.

The invention also relates to a building transition between the window or door frame and building wall or reveal of a building wall, with a window or door frame insulating strip of the type described here arranged on it,
wherein the window or door frame insulating strip is arranged at the building transition,
  • that the front and/or the top of its body, the front of its lower projecting lip and/or the front of its upper projecting lip face away from the window or door frame and from the building wall or the soffit of the building wall and form a visible area,
  • that the rear and/or underside of their body, the rear of their lower projecting lip and/or the rear of their upper projecting lip face the window or door frame and the building wall or the soffit of the building wall and form a non-visible area ; and
  • that the tip of the lower projecting lip abuts the window or door jamb, and/or the tip of the upper projecting lip abuts the building wall or the soffit of the building wall.

The advantages and embodiments mentioned above result for this, which are not repeated again.

The embodiments and advantages defined below relate to the crown molding and are basically analogous to the embodiments and advantages described above for the baseboard and for the window or door jamb insulating strip, but adapting the orientation of the upper and lower protruding lip and the installation situation, which is almost upside down compared to the skirting board and the window or door frame insulating strip.

The rear side of the base body is typically intended to bear against the upper wall end in the position of the ceiling strip arranged at the transition between the upper wall end and the adjoining ceiling area.

Die untere Wegrag-Lippe kann an dem vorderen Ende der Unterseite des Grundkörpers ansetzen und sich von dort nach hinten unten erstrecken, unter Überdeckung des davon rückwärtig gelegenen Abschnitts der Unterseite des GrundkörpersThe lower projecting lip may attach to the front end of the underside of the body and extend rearwardly downwardly therefrom, covering the portion of the underside of the body rearward therefrom

The upper projecting lip may attach to the front end of the top of the body and extend obliquely forward and upward therefrom, covering the portion of the top of the body rearward therefrom.

This ensures a particularly advantageous seal to the upper wall end on the one hand and to the ceiling area on the other hand.

The protruding direction of the lower protruding lip and/or the upper protruding lip can have an angle of 0.5-89.5°, in particular of 30-80° with the plane of the front of the base body or with the plane of the rear include the body.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper control lip is incorporated into the lower control lip and/or upper control lip such that it completely protrudes from the remaining material of the lower control lip and/or upper control lip -lip is enclosed and not visible from the outside.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper control lip is substantially parallel to the front and/or rear of the lower control lip and/or upper control lip.

According to a further embodiment, the layer in the lower and/or upper control lip extends over the entire length of the lower and/or upper control lip; or it extends in the lower and/or upper pull-out lip only over a central area and over a region of the lower and/or upper pull-out lip facing the main body, leaving the tip of the lower and/or upper pull-out lip free Lip.

The boundary surface between the tip and the remaining area of the lower projecting lip and/or the upper projecting lip can run essentially perpendicularly or obliquely to the main direction of extension of the lower projecting lip and/or the upper projecting lip.

Such a tip allows the respective protruding lip to rest more flexibly on the upper wall end or the ceiling area.

The invention also relates to a building transition between an upper wall end and an adjacent ceiling area, with a ceiling strip of the type described here arranged thereon,
wherein the ceiling strip is arranged at the building transition,
  • that the front and/or the underside of its main body, the front of its upper projecting lip and/or the front of its lower projecting lip point away from the upper wall end and from the ceiling area and form a visible area,
  • that the back and/or the top of its main body, the back of its upper salient lip and/or the back of its lower salient lip point to the upper wall end and to the ceiling area and form a non-visible area; and
  • that the tip of the lower projecting lip abuts the upper wall end, and/or the tip of the upper projecting lip abuts the ceiling area.

The advantages and embodiments mentioned above result for this, which will not be repeated again.

The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the attached figures.
  • figure 1 shows a side view of a first skirting board, ceiling molding or window or door frame insulating strip, referred to below as strip 2 , which has a base body 4 , an upper projecting lip 18 and a lower projecting lip 20 .
  • figure 2 shows a side view of a second skirting board, ceiling molding or window or door frame insulating strip, referred to hereinafter as strip 42, which has a base body 4, an upper projecting lip 18 and a lower projecting lip 20.
  • figure 3 12 shows a side view of a third skirting board, ceiling molding or window or door frame insulating strip, hereinafter referred to as strip 52, which has a base body 4, an upper projecting lip 18 and a lower projecting lip 20. FIG.
  • figure 4 12 shows a side view of a fourth skirting board, ceiling molding or window or door frame insulating strip, hereinafter referred to as strip 62, which has a base body 4, an upper projecting lip 18 and a lower projecting lip 20. FIG.

In the Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 the strips 2, 42, 52, 62 are each shown in the non-installed delivery state.

The strips 2, 42, 52, 62 and 62 each have a base body 4 which has a rectangular cross-section in the present non-limiting exemplary embodiment. Alternatively, other cross-sections are also possible, e.g. a parallelogram-shaped cross-section, a cross-section of an irregular quadrilateral, e.g. in which the front side tapers upwards towards the rear side and the material thickness thus decreases from bottom to top, or a triangular cross-section.

The base body 4 with a rectangular cross section according to the present embodiment has a longer front side 6, a shorter top side 8, a longer back side 10 and a shorter bottom 12. The front 6 and back 10 extend parallel to each other.

At the transition area between the front side 6 and the top side 8 the upper projecting lip 18 is positioned. This protrudes at an angle of 30 to 80°, in the present exemplary embodiment of about 50°, relative to the vertical plane of the front side 6 of the base body 4, obliquely upwards and backwards. The length of the upper protruding lip 18 is chosen so that when the strip 2, 42, 52, 62 is not installed when delivered, the upper rear tip 19 of the upper protruding lip 18 is a little behind the rear side 10 of the base body 4 of the Bar 2, 42, 52, 62 is formed vertical plane.

The lower projecting lip 20 is arranged in the transition area between the front side 6 and the underside 12; . In the present non-limiting example embodiment, the lower projecting lip 20 has a slightly curved course.

The projecting lips 18, 20 can have a tapering width, in particular in the direction towards the tip thereof.

The front lower tip 22 of the lower protruding lip 20 is offset forward compared to the plane of the front side 6 of the base body 4, in particular by about 2 to 3 times the width of the base body, seen from the back 10 to the front 6. Likewise, the front lower tip 22 of the lower projecting lip 20 is offset downwards with respect to the plane of the underside 12 of the base body 4 of the strip 2, in particular by about 1 to 3 times the width of the base body 4, seen from the rear side 10 to the front 6. These values are of course only examples, other dimensions can also be given, e.g. 0.2 to 3 times the width of the base body 4.

The upper rear tip 19 of the upper check-out lip 18 and the lower front tip 22 of the lower check-out lip 20 are formed by a softer plastic portion bonded to the material of the remainder of the upper check-out lip 18, the remainder of the lower check-out lip 20 and of the base body 4 is coextruded in order to be able to attach itself more flexibly to the lower or upper end of the wall, to the floor area, to the upper ceiling area, to the wall or reveal area or to the window or door frame.

The front 6 of the body 4, the front of the lower hang away lip 20 and the front of the upper hang away lip 18 form a visible area.

The back 10 and bottom 12 of the body 4, the back of the lower stick-out lip 20, the top 8 of the body 4 and the back of the upper stick-out lip 18 form a non-visible area.

In the case of the first strip 2, a layer, in particular a reinforcement or support layer, is introduced at least in regions into the lower projecting lip 20 and into the upper projecting lip 18 .

At the first bar 2 off figure 1 this layer is in the form of two separate layer regions 30, 32, of which the first layer region 30 is introduced into the lower pull-away lip 20 and in a lower region of the base body 4 and of which the second layer region 32 is introduced into the upper pull-away lip 18.

The first layer region 30 extends in particular from the interface where the soft lower front tip 22 attaches, following the course of the lower folding lip 20, upwards to the lower end of the base body 4 and forms a curve so that its upper End substantially parallel to the underside 12 of the base body 4 and at a position spaced backwards to the back 10 of the base body and spaced downwards to the underside 12 of the base body 4 ends.

The first layer area 30 is arranged completely within the lower projecting lip 20 and within the lower area of the base body 4 and is not visible from the outside.

The area of the first layer portion 30 lying within the lower hold-away lip 20 is enclosed fore and aft by the remainder of the hold-away lip 20 material and downward by the material of the soft front lower tip 19, and the upper end portion of the first layer portion 30 is surrounded by the rest of the material of the base body 4 at the bottom, at the top and at the rear.

The second layer region 32 extends downwardly from the interface where the soft rear top tip 19 attaches, within the upper projecting lip 18 and terminates approximately level with the top surface 8 of the body 4. The second layer region 32 is completely separate from the soft rear top upper tip 19 (upward), forward and surrounded to the rear by the remaining material of the upper projecting lip 18 and to the bottom by the material of the base body 4, so that the second layer region 32 is not visible from the outside.

From the interface where the soft rear upper tip 19 attaches, the second layer region 32 follows the direction in which the upper pull-away lip 18 extends at the level of the top 8 of the base body 4.

At the second bar 42 off figure 2 For example, the layer, in particular the reinforcement or support layer, is formed in the form of two separate layer sections 34 and 36 in the lower hold-away lip 20 and a further layer section 32 on the upper hold-away lip 18 .

The further layer section 32 in the upper stick-away lip 18 corresponds to that with reference to FIG figure 1 described second layer section 32 and is not described again here to avoid repetition.

The first layer portion 34 inside the lower hang-up lip 20 extends, following the extension direction of the lower hang-up lip 20, through a central portion thereof. Its lower end is spaced some distance from the interface with the soft front lower tip 22. Its upper end is spaced some distance from the transition between the lower float-away lip 20 and the main body 4 and in particular from the second layer section 36. The first layer section 34 is completely enclosed by the remaining material of the lower tear-away lip 20 in a forward, downward, rearward and upward direction.

The lower end of the second layer section 36 begins at the transition area between the lower projecting lip 20 and the base body 4, approximately at the level of the underside 12 of the base body 4, and forms a rearward curvature upwards. Its central area and its rear end are arranged approximately horizontally and parallel to the underside 12 of the base body 4 . The rear end of the second layer section 36 is spaced a little away from the rear side 10 of the base body 4 . The second layer section 36 is completely enclosed by the material of the base body 4 at the top, to the rear and to the front, and by the material of the base body 4 and the lower projecting lip 20 at the bottom.

Neither the first layer portion 34 nor the second layer portion 36 are visible from an outside of the second bar 42 .

According to the third bar 52 figure 3 and at the fourth bar 62 according to FIG figure 4 the layer 54 or 64, in particular the reinforcement or support layer, extends through a large part of the lower hold-away lip 20, through the entire base body 4 and through a large part of the upper hold-away lip 18.

In the case of the third bar 52, the layer 54 extends from the boundary surface at which the soft front lower tip 22 attaches, within the lower hold-up lip 20 following the main extension direction of the lower hold-up lip 20 upwards and through the transition between the lower hold-up lip 20 and the base body 4 in into the base body 4, then forms a curve to the left, so that the layer 54 then runs approximately horizontally and parallel to the underside 12 of the base body 4, then makes a kink at a position spaced from the back 10 and spaced from the underside 12 upwards and then runs parallel and spaced apart from the rear side 10 of the base body 4 within the same up to a position immediately spaced apart from the upper side 8 of the base body 4. There the layer 54 again makes a kink to the right, runs approximately horizontally and parallel to the top 8 of the body 4 to a position spaced from the front 6 of the body 4. There the layer 54 makes an upward bend and passes through the transition between the body 4 and the upper hang-away lip 18 into the upper hang-away lip 18 and runs then following the main extension direction of the upper projecting lip 18 up to the upper boundary surface to the soft rear upper tip 19.

The entire layer 54 is of the soft front lower tip 22 material (downward), of the lower float lip 20 material (forward and aft), of the body material downward, backward, forward and backward at the top, enclosed by the upper float-away lip material 18 (fore and aft) and by the soft rear upper tip material 19 (upward). Therefore, the layer 54, in particular the reinforcement or support layer, is not visible from the outside.

In figure 4 the layer 64, in particular the reinforcement or support layer 64, runs through a large part of the lower support lip 20, through the entire main body 4 and through a large part of the upper control lip 18.

The layer 64 runs from the boundary surface to the soft front lower tip 22 within the lower pull-away lip 20, following the main direction of extension thereof, through the transition between the lower pull-away lip 20 and the base body 4, without forming a step or a bend upwards into the base body 4 and extends parallel to and at a certain distance from the front side 6 of the base body 4 through the entire height of the base body 4. It then runs through the transition area between the upper front end of the base body 4 and the upper projecting lip 18, forming a left-rear curve into the upper pull-away lip 18 and following the main extension direction thereof through the upper pull-away lip 18 to the interface with the soft rear upper tip 19.

The layer 64 is thus downwardly of the soft front lower tip 22, forward and rearward through the lower hold-away lip 20, through the body 4 and through the upper hold-away lip 18 and the respective materials of the lower hold-away lip 20, the body 4 and the upper carry-away lip 18, and enclosed upwards by the soft rear upper tip 19. It is not visible from the outside.

The layers 54 and 64 are designed in particular as continuous, uninterrupted layers, in particular reinforcement or support layers.

The layer(s) integrated into the retractable lips 18, 20, in particular reinforcement and support layers 30, 32 or 34, 36, 32 or 54 or 64, prevent the material of the retractable lip(s) 18, 22 or at the transition from the projecting lip 18, 20 to the main body 4 in the event of a deformation of the projecting lip 18, 20, e.g. B. when bending, compressing, upsetting, when pulling away the rag lip (s) 18, 20 or a combination thereof reliably avoided. This enables the strips 2, 42, 52, 62 to be fitted particularly flexibly and with a precise fit, with the projecting lips 18, 20 being deformed in the respective installation situation, and the sealing behind the strip 2, 42, 52, 62 is particularly reliable area against penetrating moisture and penetrating dirt.

The layer(s) integrated into the retractable lips 18, 20, in particular reinforcement or support layers, can also be referred to as reinforcement or support layers, which reinforce the retractable lip 18, 20 and the transition between retractable lip 18, 20 and main body 4 from the inside or support.

The layers/layer regions 30, 32; 34, 36, 32; 54; 64 can also be referred to as integrated layers/layer areas, in particular reinforcement or support layers/reinforcement or support layer areas.

When the strip is designed as a skirting board 2, the visible area is intended to point away from the lower wall end and the floor area in the position of the skirting board 2 arranged at the transition between the lower wall end and the adjacent floor area, and the non-visible area is intended for this purpose intended to indicate in the transition between the lower wall end and the adjacent floor area arranged position of the baseboard 2 to the lower wall end and to the floor area.

When the strip is designed as a skirting board 2, the rear side of the base body 10 is intended to lie against the lower wall end in the position of the skirting board 2 arranged at the transition between the lower wall end and the adjoining floor area.

The installation situation of the skirting board 2 can be easily imagined if one imagines that the rear side 10 of the base body 4 rests against the lower end of the wall, that the tip of the lower protruding lip 20 rests on the floor area and the tip of the upper protruding lip 18 rests against the lower end of the wall. The baseboard 2 thus protects the building transition between the lower end of the wall and the adjacent floor area, and the projecting lips 18 and 20 prevent moisture and/or dirt from penetrating into the area behind the baseboard 2 .

The strips 2, 42, 52, 62 are also suitable as ceiling strips for arrangement at the transition between an upper wall end and an adjacent ceiling area.

In this case, the strips 2, 42, 52, 62 are each to be arranged in a horizontal, downward rotated position at such a transition that the rear side 10 points towards or abuts the upper wall end that the projecting lip Figure 18 illustrates a lower salient lip and also abuts the top wall end and that salient lip 20 forms an upper salient lip and abuts the ceiling portion.

Equally, the strips 2, 42, 52, 62 can also be used as a window or door frame insulating strip for arrangement at the transition between the window or door frame and the building wall or reveal of a building wall.

In this case, the strip 2, 42, 52, 62 rests with the back 10 against the building wall or the reveal. The rear upper projecting lip 18 abuts the building wall or soffit and the front lower projecting lip 20 abuts the window or door jamb.

All strips 2, 42, 52, 62 described can be fastened in a suitable manner to the relevant building transition, e.g. with the back 10 on the lower foot area (skirting board), on the upper wall end (ceiling board) or on the building wall or reveal (window or door jamb insulating strip) are glued on, or e.g. by nails that penetrate through the base body 4 into the floor area/in the lower wall area (skirting board), in the ceiling area/in the upper wall end (ceiling board) or in the building wall or reveal extend the window or door frame (window or door frame insulating strip).

The layer(s) introduced into the projecting lips 18, 20, in particular reinforcement or support layers 30, 32 or 34, 36, 32 or 54 or 64, prevent the material of the projecting lip 18 from tearing or breaking. 20 or at the transition from the projecting lip 18, 20 to the main body 4 upon deformation of the projecting lip 18, 20 e.g. bending, compressing, crushing, pulling the projecting lip 18, 20 or one combination of these reliably avoided. This enables the strips to be fitted particularly flexibly and precisely, with the projecting lips deforming in the respective installation situation, and particularly reliable sealing of the area behind the strip against the ingress of moisture and dirt is ensured.

The base body 4 of the strips 2, 42, 52, 62 has in particular a plastic material, in particular a foamed plastic material or a plastic composite material, in particular a foamed plastic composite material, e.g. a wood plastic composite WPC or a plastic mixture of different plastics, e.g. a rigid PVC+W -PVC mixture or a PP+TPE mixture.

The layer(s), in particular reinforcement or support layers 30, 32 or 34, 36, 32 or 54 or 64 can be designed differently. Common to all variants is, however, that due to the choice of material, due to the small thickness of the layer(s) or due to a combination thereof, they have a flexibility that allows the projecting lip to be deformed, for example when it is bent, compressed, compressed, in the event of a stretching of the stick-out lip 18, 20 or a combination thereof, while at the same time reliably avoiding tearing or breaking of the material of the stick-out lip 18, 20 or at the transition from the stick-out lip 18, 20 to the main body 4.

According to a variant, the layer comprises a flexible plastic, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer TPE or a flexible PVC, and can be coextruded with the base body 4 and the protruding lips 18, 20. According to a further variant, the layer has a foamed plastic material or a foamed plastic composite material, e.g. a wood plastic composite WPC or a plastic mixture of different plastics, e.g. a rigid PVC+W-PVC mixture or a PP+TPE mixture, and can the body 4 and the projecting lips 18,20 may be coextruded. The flexibility results from the material, and in principle almost any layer thickness can be provided. Typically, such a layer has a layer thickness of 0.3 to 0.5 mm.

According to a further variant, the layer has a plastic, in particular a hard plastic, in particular polypropylene PP, polyethylene PE or a hard PVC, and can be coextruded with the base body 4 and the projecting lips 18, 20. The flexibility results from a small layer thickness, which is typically in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 mm. Such a thin layer can ensure the flexibility required. Basically, the softer the plastic material chosen for the layer, the thicker the layer thickness can be, and vice versa.

According to a further variant, the layer is designed as a lacquer layer or as a foil layer, and can have been suitably introduced into the base body 4 or into the protruding lips 18, 20.

A metal can even be selected for the layer, which has been suitably introduced into the base body 4 or into the protruding lips 18, 20, in which case the layer thickness must be selected correspondingly small and typically in the range of 0.1 - 0.4 mm, in particular from 0.2-0.3 mm.
