  • the invention relates to the field of striking mechanisms for watches, timepieces or music boxes.
  • Clockwork striking mechanisms are grand complications, complex both in terms of the number and complexity of the kinematics of their components, only according to the operating modes of which they are capable.
  • security management is very complex, and it is difficult to block passing bells to let a minute repeater play, or conversely to block the launch of a repeater minutes when a passing chime approaches, to prevent a minute repeater from being restarted when a repeat cycle has just been launched, to prevent a timer setting while a chime is running, or other, these safeties generally implement a fairly large number of insulators, which further complicates the mechanism and the risks of interference.
  • the patent EP2503405B1 in the name of MONTRES BREGUET describes a timepiece comprising motor means, a movement, a mechanism for controlling the power reserve of the motor means, which comprises an output shaft whose angular position indicates the power reserve available at the level of the motor means, a mechanism ringing controlled by a ringing control mechanism, which comprises a blocking rocker arranged to block the operation of the movement.
  • This timepiece also comprises, interposed between the output shaft and the blocking rocker, a selective stop mechanism, for selectively stopping the chimes of the timepiece, depending on the motor torque available from the motor means, the selective stop mechanism being arranged to manage the torque available at the level of the motor means by limiting or not the operation of the bells, depending on the angular position of the output shaft, to control a release mechanism all or some of the ringtones available at the ringing mechanism, via a transmission mechanism controlling an isolating mobile that includes the selective stop mechanism and which is arranged to control the position of the blocking rocker and also arranged to release or prohibit the movement of a bell control linkage and/or to authorize or prohibit the percussion of a hammer on a gong.
  • Requirement EP 2226688 A1 in the name of VAUCHER describes a timepiece which comprises a control unit moved between positions defined by a power reserve mechanism.
  • a trigger unit i.e. a ratchet wheel, is activated to cooperate with a trigger tip to trigger an additional mechanism, for example a alarm mechanism.
  • the trigger unit occupies the positions in which the trigger unit cooperates and does not cooperate with the tip, respectively.

  • Requirement EP 1429214 A1 in the name of ROTH & GENTA describes a timepiece provided with a striking mechanism for the hours, quarters with minute repeater, comprising a moving part of the striking mechanism capable of being moved between a determined rest position and an operating position, means for triggering the chime, means for periodically bringing the moving part into the operating position when the chime is triggered, a time-setting mechanism comprising a winding and time-setting stem on which a pinion slider is slidably mounted to come into engagement with a time-setting gear train, a pull tab engaged on the one hand with the winding stem and on the other hand with a time-setting rocker engaged with the pinion flowing. It comprises means for locking the time-setting rocker connecting the latter to the moving part of the striking mechanism, so that the locking means block the time-setting rocker as soon as the moving part of the mechanism bell is moved away from its rest position.
  • the invention proposes to carry out the installation of effective safeguards of average complexity.
  • the invention relates to a striking mechanism according to claim 1.
  • the invention also relates to a watch comprising a movement comprising an output for triggering a chime when passing through the movement, this movement being arranged to drive at least one reference mobile, and the watch comprises at least one such striking mechanism.

  • the non-limiting variant illustrated by the figures comprises three ringing modes: grand strike (GS), small strike (PS), silence (S), and a minute repeater.
  • This minute repeater mechanism comprises in particular an hour part 20, arranged to cooperate, with a feeler 29 that it comprises, with an hour cochlea 190.
  • Deactivating the ringtone in silent mode makes it possible to keep the pawls away from the ringing driving mobile 2, and makes it possible to prevent access to the hour piece at the corresponding cochlea.
  • the striking mechanism 100 comprises a minute repeater with a minute repeater control 4 comprising a repeater pawl 40, which is arranged to drive the trigger ratchet 22 after a reading performed by said hour piece 20 on the hour cochlea 190.
  • the main arm 64 of the silence rocker 60 allows the access of the repetition pawl 40 to the trigger ratchet 22, as long as the energy available is sufficient for the execution of a full ringtone.
  • the striking mechanism 100 comprises a grand strike mode for striking at the passage of each hour, and of each quarter hour with the repetition of striking from the hour to the quarter hour, and a mode of small bell for the ringing at the passage of each hour, and of each quarter of an hour without the repetition of striking from the hour to the quarter of an hour.
  • the striking mechanism 100 then includes a small ring rocker 80, which is arranged to, when the small ring mode is selected, orient the small ring rocker 80 in a position in which it prevents the passage of the coin from 20 hours to the 190 hour cochlea, to prevent the ringing of the hours to the quarter hours.
  • the small strike rocker 80 When, in this same arrangement, the grand strike mode is selected, the small strike rocker 80 is oriented in another position in which it authorizes the passage of the hour piece 20 towards the cochlea hours 190, to authorize ringing when changing from hours to quarters of an hour.
  • the striking mechanism 100 advantageously comprises, coaxial with a star wheel 130 of four driven by the output 3 and which is arranged to trigger the ringing at the passage of the quarters of an hour , a teardrop-shaped hour cam 131, comprising a tip 132 which is arranged to raise the small strike rocker 80, and allow the passage of the hour piece 20 towards the hour cochlea 190.
  • the ringing mechanism 100 comprises a stop mechanism 5, which is arranged to prevent the execution of any ringing, in order to prevent the risk presented by the stopping of certain mobiles in intermediate positions, liable to cause collisions during a restart. In the only case where the stop function is effective, the operation of the minute repeater is also prohibited.
  • This stop mechanism 5 is arranged to cause a ringing inversion rocker 59 to pivot, in particular when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing.
  • This ringing inversion rocker 59 controls the pivoting of a ringing disengagement lever 55, which is arranged to prevent the access of the repetition pawl 40 to the trigger ratchet 22 when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing, and to move the main pawl 85 away from the trigger ratchet 22 when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing.
  • the Grande Sonnerie is supplied with energy by an energy reservoir, in particular at least one barrel , inside the watch.
  • an energy reservoir in particular at least one barrel
  • Different energy storage configurations are possible, depending on the volume available inside the watch: a single barrel powering both the movement and the chimes, or a barrel dedicated to the movement and one or more barrels dedicated to the strikes, for which the energy consumption is always high.
  • the storage device is not detailed here, the drawings show a striking power reserve indicator output mobile 35, which constitutes the output of a differential mechanism, and hereinafter referred to more simply as running mobile 35, known of the skilled person. More particularly, this moving wheel 35 comprises several coaxial wheels and pinions assembled by friction.
  • This moving wheel 35 meshes with a stopper wheel 33, which comprises an oblong slot 34, also called a loop.
  • a stop finger 30 is mounted coaxial with the stop wheel 33, and this finger 30 comprises a stop pin 31, which is movable in a limited way in the oblong slot 34, and a point 32.
  • a stop jumper 36 is positioned opposite this stop pin 30, it is biased by a first spring 38, in the counter-clockwise direction of the figures.
  • the arresting jumper 36 can be made in one piece with this spring 38.
  • this stop jumper 36 comprises, at this edge, a beak 37, surrounded by a first surface 37A and a second surface 37B, here substantially planar, and which are not aligned (in the nonlimiting example of the figures they make between them an angle of approximately 120°): the path of the point 32 comprises thus, whatever the direction of this course, an upward slope against the torque of a spring, a passage through the beak 37, and a downward slope beyond this beak 37.
  • the stopper mechanism 5 further includes a ringing lock control rocker 17, which is arranged to control a change of position of the ringing release lever 55, during an instantaneous jump of this ringing lock control rocker 17, as soon as the level of energy available at said storage means crosses a predefined threshold: in a first direction for disengaging the bell, when the energy in the storage means is lower than this threshold, or reverses in the opposite direction to re-authorize the operation of a bell, when the energy in the storage means has again become greater than this predefined threshold.
  • This ring lock control latch 17 comprises, at a first end, a fork 19 arranged to surround the locking pin 31, and, under this fork 19, a lug 179, which is arranged to cooperate with a second spring 39, or with a jumper that this second spring 39 controls, giving the striking latch control rocker 17 a bistable behavior, as will be seen later in the description of the operation.
  • the second release spring 39 can, in a variant, be made in one piece with the strike lock control rocker 17.
  • the bell lock control rocker 17 comprises, at a second opposite end, a control arm 18. This control arm 18 bears on a pin 16 that includes the ring inversion rocker 59, which is itself even articulated on a first side with the bell release lever 55.
  • the striking inversion rocker 59 is articulated on a second side with a clutch rocker 12, returned by a clutch spring 13, and cooperating with a pull tab 11 cooperating conventionally with the stem 10 of the time setting control and winding the watch.
  • the release spring 13 can, in a variant, be made in one piece with the release rocker 12.
  • the release rocker 12 advantageously carries an indicator 14, such as a flap visible through a window as visible on the figure 15 , or even such as a needle facing pictograms or the like, or any other suitable display system, intended to notify the operator very simply of the availability or not of the ringtones.
  • THE figures 15 to 32 expose the kinematics of the stop mechanism 5, which operates reversibly, the figures 33 to 36 illustrating the reverse maneuver.
  • the moving wheel 35 drives the stopper wheel 33, until, as visible on the figure 19 , the oblong slot 34 comes into contact with the locking pin 31, then pivoting the locking pin 30, which is in contact by its point 32 with the first surface 37A of the locking jumper 36, which is close one of its flanks 30A. Stop finger 30, thus driven indirectly by running wheel set 35, must overcome the upward slope represented by this first surface 37A and the torque imposed by first spring 38.
  • the tip 32 of the stop finger 30 comes to the top 37 of the slope of the first surface 37A of the stop jumper 36, as visible on the figure 20 .
  • the locking pin 31 is not still in contact with the edge of the fork 19 of the bell lock control rocker 17.
  • the cooperation of the stop pin 30 and the stop jumper 36 makes it possible to bring the stop pin 31 into abutment on this fork 19, to control a sudden pivoting of the striking bolt control rocker 17 by instantaneous change position of a lug 179 that the latter comprises with respect to a second spring 39: as soon as the tip 32 of the stop finger 30 has passed the top 37, and comes into contact with the second surface 37B of the stop jumper 36, the locking pin 31 comes into contact with the edge of the fork 19.
  • the second spring 39 comprises a tip 390 which passes from one side to the other of the lug 179 of the lock control rocker. bell ring 17, whose second spring 39 thus causes the reversal.
  • This second spring 39 thus constitutes a striking bolt control jumper, which is arranged to constrain the fork 19 of the striking bolt control rocker 17 to rest on a stoker 7, preferably one on each side of the fork 19 , or on a limiting wall, in each of the two positions that the bell lock control rocker 17 can occupy, giving it its bistable character.
  • the stopper finger 30 travels around an additional 20° before arriving in the final stop position of the figure 29 , where the locking pin 31 bears against the other end of the fork 19, the second flank 30B of the locking pin 30 being in contact with the second surface 37B of the locking jumper 36. In this final position the fork 19 rests against stoke 7.
  • the triggering thus achieved is instantaneous, and provides total safety.
  • the invention makes it possible to perform a stoppage in grand ring mode, when the stop function and the grand ring mode exist. The same is true for the small bell mode and the silent mode.
  • This striking mechanism 100 is first exposed without a stopper mechanism.
  • the star 130 arranged close to the mobiles of the references 1, is arranged to come to cooperate, every quarter of an hour, with a beak 72, in particular elastic, that comprises the lifting 70 of striking trigger, which pivots in a pivot 73 .
  • This hour part 20 includes a feeler 29 arranged to feel a cochlea hour 190, and a rake 25 arranged to cooperate with a rack pinion 24 that includes a strike driving wheel set 2.
  • This hour part 20 also includes, recessed relative to the feeler 29, a rib 23 separating the oblong slot 26 from an internal clearance 28, and this rib 23 is terminated, on the same side as the feeler 29, by a plate 27 for abutment support.
  • the striking trainer mobile 2 comprises, for its part, in a conventional manner, a trigger ratchet 22, with which is arranged to cooperate, either a main striking pawl 85, or else a minute repeater trigger pawl 40, provided with a pin 41, and which includes a minute repeater control 4, where this last pawl 40 cooperates with a spring 43.
  • the pivoting of the ringing trigger lift 70 causes the pivoting of a trigger rocker 50 by the movement, which carries a thrust spring 52 which bears on the main ring pawl 85, which also carries the trigger rocker 50 .
  • a small ring rocker 80 of the conventional type carries a stop pin 82.
  • This small ring rocker 80 recalled by a release spring 83 fixed to a plate, comprises a release lip 81, which is arranged to rest on a cam pin 97, which includes a mode selector cam 90, which includes a mode selector mechanism 9.
  • the small bell rocker 80 faces the hour part 20 during the angular travel of the latter, and the stop pin 82 is at the level of the rib 23 of the hour part 20, on the same radius, which gives it makes it possible to cooperate in abutment with the plate 27 of the hour part 20, and to immobilize the latter by preventing it from reaching the hour cochlea 190, so as not to repeat the striking of the hours at each quarter , depending on the operation specific to the small bell mode.
  • the star 130 is secured to a teardrop-shaped hour cam 131, the point of which 132 is arranged to raise the small ring rocker 80, and therefore its stop pin 82, for allow the passage to the feeler 29 of the hour 20 piece to carry out its reading on the hour 190 cochlea.
  • THE figures 3 and 4 show the position of the Grande Sonnerie, which strikes the full hours as it passes, and both the hour and the quarter-hour as it passes.
  • the usual quarter piece and quarter cochlea are not shown.
  • the support of the cam pin 97 on the small bell rocker 80 is made at a greater distance from the end of the clutch release 81 than in the case of the small bell, and therefore the stop pin 82 n is no longer at the 23 rib, nor the 27 flat of the 20 hour piece, but is at the 28 undercut, allowing the 20 hour piece to swing freely to the 190 hour cochlea every quarter of hour.
  • the ringing mechanism 100 includes a large ringing and small ringing isolator, hereinafter referred to as silence rocker 60.
  • This silence rocker 60 has at a first end a reading beak 61 arranged to cooperate with one of the peripheral zones 98 of the mode selection cam 90, and at a second end 62 a main arm 64, which is arranged to stop a main pawl pin 86, which comprises the main ring pawl 85.
  • This rocker of silencer 60 comprises, in its middle part close to its pivot, a silencer pin 63.
  • the spring 65 forces the silence rocker 60 via the pin 63, for this rocker is always in contact with the cam 90 by its beak 61.
  • this silence rocker 60 pivots and its part 62 disconnects the pawl 85 from the ratchet 22.
  • the cam pin 97 is in contact with the clutch release 81 of the small ring rocker 80.
  • a rocker not shown in the figures makes the connection between the command 4 and the rocker light 80, so that the 20 hour rake can fall on the 190 hour cochlea of part 1.
  • This silence rocker 60 is visible on the figures 5 to 11 , which comprise the stop mechanism 5, which essentially comprises a ringing release lever 55.
  • the striking mechanism 100 thus comprises, partially superimposed, the silence rocker 60 and the ringing release lever 55, which are each arranged to hinder the access of a particular pawl to the ratchet 22 of the mobile striking trainer 2.
  • the striking disengaging lever 55 includes a stop arm 56, which is arranged to stop a repeater pawl pin 41, which includes a minute repeater trigger pawl 40, of the 4 minute repeat command.
  • the figures show the particular arrangement of the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater trigger pawl 40, which are both located on the same side of the striking drive mobile 2 and its ratchet 22, between the mode 90 and this ratchet 22.

The invention relates to the field of striking mechanisms for watches, timepieces or music boxes.

Arrière-plan de l'inventionBackground of the invention

Clockwork striking mechanisms are grand complications, complex both in terms of the number and complexity of the kinematics of their components, only according to the operating modes of which they are capable. For watches with additional complications such as a minute repeater, security management is very complex, and it is difficult to block passing bells to let a minute repeater play, or conversely to block the launch of a repeater minutes when a passing chime approaches, to prevent a minute repeater from being restarted when a repeat cycle has just been launched, to prevent a timer setting while a chime is running, or other, these safeties generally implement a fairly large number of insulators, which further complicates the mechanism and the risks of interference.

The patent EP2503405B1 in the name of MONTRES BREGUET describes a timepiece comprising motor means, a movement, a mechanism for controlling the power reserve of the motor means, which comprises an output shaft whose angular position indicates the power reserve available at the level of the motor means, a mechanism ringing controlled by a ringing control mechanism, which comprises a blocking rocker arranged to block the operation of the movement. This timepiece also comprises, interposed between the output shaft and the blocking rocker, a selective stop mechanism, for selectively stopping the chimes of the timepiece, depending on the motor torque available from the motor means, the selective stop mechanism being arranged to manage the torque available at the level of the motor means by limiting or not the operation of the bells, depending on the angular position of the output shaft, to control a release mechanism all or some of the ringtones available at the ringing mechanism, via a transmission mechanism controlling an isolating mobile that includes the selective stop mechanism and which is arranged to control the position of the blocking rocker and also arranged to release or prohibit the movement of a bell control linkage and/or to authorize or prohibit the percussion of a hammer on a gong.

Requirement EP 2226688 A1 in the name of VAUCHER describes a timepiece which comprises a control unit moved between positions defined by a power reserve mechanism. A trigger unit, i.e. a ratchet wheel, is activated to cooperate with a trigger tip to trigger an additional mechanism, for example a alarm mechanism. The trigger unit occupies the positions in which the trigger unit cooperates and does not cooperate with the tip, respectively. The control unit cooperates with the trigger unit and brings the trigger unit to one of the positions depending on the corresponding position of the control unit.

Requirement EP 1429214 A1 in the name of ROTH & GENTA describes a timepiece provided with a striking mechanism for the hours, quarters with minute repeater, comprising a moving part of the striking mechanism capable of being moved between a determined rest position and an operating position, means for triggering the chime, means for periodically bringing the moving part into the operating position when the chime is triggered, a time-setting mechanism comprising a winding and time-setting stem on which a pinion slider is slidably mounted to come into engagement with a time-setting gear train, a pull tab engaged on the one hand with the winding stem and on the other hand with a time-setting rocker engaged with the pinion flowing. It comprises means for locking the time-setting rocker connecting the latter to the moving part of the striking mechanism, so that the locking means block the time-setting rocker as soon as the moving part of the mechanism bell is moved away from its rest position.

  • antique repeat,
  • modern quarter repeat,
  • simplified repetition,
  • half-quarter repeat,
  • Breguet half-quarter repeater,
  • five minute repeat,
  • minute repeater,
  • big ringtone.

Unless necessary, these basic mechanisms will not be repeated here in detail. The ringtone specialist will be able to find their constitution in this universal reference work, in particular in the last two chapters cited above.

The striking mechanism 100 according to the invention comprises, in a conventional manner, at least one reference mobile 1, and preferably a plurality of reference mobiles 1, comprising the snails and/or time reference stars, and in particular a snail of the minutes, a cochlea of quarters, a cochlea of 190 hours.

Ce mobile entraîneur de sonnerie 2 comporte classiquement un rochet de détente 22 et un pignon de crémaillère 24.This striking mechanism 100 also includes at least one striking driving mobile 2, as set out in particular in the “Grande Sonnerie” chapter of the work “Les montres complexes” and visible in particular in FIG. 40 of this work. This striking trainer mobile 2 conventionally comprises a trigger ratchet 22 and a rack pinion 24.

The striking mechanism 100 cooperates with a movement 200, which drives the reference mobile(s) 1, and of which a particular output 3 is illustrated in the figures, in the non-limiting form of a star 130 for triggering the striking by the movement , adjusted on a roadway, and comprising four teeth, so as to be able to lift, every quarter of an hour, an intermediate lever for triggering by the movement, hereinafter referred to as lifting 70.

The striking mechanism 100 comprises at least one pivoting part, which is arranged to cooperate indirectly, via this lift 70, with the output 3 of the movement 200, and in particular comprises a probe for reading such a reference mobile 1 and a drive rack for the rack pinion 24. One of these pivoting parts is an hour part 20 arranged to cooperate with the hour cochlea 190. The striking mechanism 100 also comprises a main pawl 85, which is arranged to be set in motion with each ringing on the way, and to drive, when possible, the trigger ratchet 22.

Le mécanisme de sonnerie 100 selon l'invention comporte tout ou partie des modes de sonnerie principaux : grande sonnerie, petite sonnerie, réveil, silence, et comporte plus particulièrement un mécanisme de répétition, notamment un mécanisme de répétition à minutes, tel qu'exposé notamment au chapitre «répétition à minutes» de l'ouvrage « Les montres compliquées ».The striking mechanism 100 according to the invention comprises all or part of the main striking modes: grand ringing, small ringing, alarm clock, silence, and more particularly comprises a repeater mechanism, in particular a minute repeater mechanism, as explained in particular in the “minute repeater” chapter of the book “Les montres complexes”.

The non-limiting variant illustrated by the figures comprises three ringing modes: grand strike (GS), small strike (PS), silence (S), and a minute repeater. This minute repeater mechanism comprises in particular an hour part 20, arranged to cooperate, with a feeler 29 that it comprises, with an hour cochlea 190.

Deactivating the ringtone in silent mode makes it possible to keep the pawls away from the ringing driving mobile 2, and makes it possible to prevent access to the hour piece at the corresponding cochlea.

In particular, the striking mechanism 100 comprises a minute repeater with a minute repeater control 4 comprising a repeater pawl 40, which is arranged to drive the trigger ratchet 22 after a reading performed by said hour piece 20 on the hour cochlea 190. And, in the silence mode, the main arm 64 of the silence rocker 60 allows the access of the repetition pawl 40 to the trigger ratchet 22, as long as the energy available is sufficient for the execution of a full ringtone.

In a particular embodiment, the striking mechanism 100 comprises a grand strike mode for striking at the passage of each hour, and of each quarter hour with the repetition of striking from the hour to the quarter hour, and a mode of small bell for the ringing at the passage of each hour, and of each quarter of an hour without the repetition of striking from the hour to the quarter of an hour. The striking mechanism 100 then includes a small ring rocker 80, which is arranged to, when the small ring mode is selected, orient the small ring rocker 80 in a position in which it prevents the passage of the coin from 20 hours to the 190 hour cochlea, to prevent the ringing of the hours to the quarter hours.

When, in this same arrangement, the grand strike mode is selected, the small strike rocker 80 is oriented in another position in which it authorizes the passage of the hour piece 20 towards the cochlea hours 190, to authorize ringing when changing from hours to quarters of an hour.

To differentiate the ringing at the passing of the hours and quarters of an hour, the striking mechanism 100 advantageously comprises, coaxial with a star wheel 130 of four driven by the output 3 and which is arranged to trigger the ringing at the passage of the quarters of an hour , a teardrop-shaped hour cam 131, comprising a tip 132 which is arranged to raise the small strike rocker 80, and allow the passage of the hour piece 20 towards the hour cochlea 190.

The selection of a particular ringing mode does not hinder the operation of the minute repeater, and in particular in silent mode, except when the striking mechanism 100 includes a particular stop function arranged to prevent the execution of any ringing if the quantity of energy available is insufficient to ensure its complete execution: the ringing mechanism 100 comprises a stop mechanism 5, which is arranged to prevent the execution of any ringing, in order to prevent the risk presented by the stopping of certain mobiles in intermediate positions, liable to cause collisions during a restart. In the only case where the stop function is effective, the operation of the minute repeater is also prohibited.

This stop mechanism 5 is arranged to cause a ringing inversion rocker 59 to pivot, in particular when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing. This ringing inversion rocker 59 controls the pivoting of a ringing disengagement lever 55, which is arranged to prevent the access of the repetition pawl 40 to the trigger ratchet 22 when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing, and to move the main pawl 85 away from the trigger ratchet 22 when the energy available is insufficient for the execution of a complete ringing.

Contrary to a minute repeater controlled and supplied with energy instantaneously by the action of a user on a bolt, a pusher, or the like, the Grande Sonnerie is supplied with energy by an energy reservoir, in particular at least one barrel , inside the watch. Different energy storage configurations are possible, depending on the volume available inside the watch: a single barrel powering both the movement and the chimes, or a barrel dedicated to the movement and one or more barrels dedicated to the strikes, for which the energy consumption is always high. The storage device is not detailed here, the drawings show a striking power reserve indicator output mobile 35, which constitutes the output of a differential mechanism, and hereinafter referred to more simply as running mobile 35, known of the skilled person. More particularly, this moving wheel 35 comprises several coaxial wheels and pinions assembled by friction.

This moving wheel 35 meshes with a stopper wheel 33, which comprises an oblong slot 34, also called a loop. A stop finger 30 is mounted coaxial with the stop wheel 33, and this finger 30 comprises a stop pin 31, which is movable in a limited way in the oblong slot 34, and a point 32.

A stop jumper 36 is positioned opposite this stop pin 30, it is biased by a first spring 38, in the counter-clockwise direction of the figures. In another variant, the arresting jumper 36 can be made in one piece with this spring 38.

The tip 32 of the stop finger 30 is arranged to follow an edge of this stop jumper 36. In particular in the variant of the figures, this stop jumper 36 comprises, at this edge, a beak 37, surrounded by a first surface 37A and a second surface 37B, here substantially planar, and which are not aligned (in the nonlimiting example of the figures they make between them an angle of approximately 120°): the path of the point 32 comprises thus, whatever the direction of this course, an upward slope against the torque of a spring, a passage through the beak 37, and a downward slope beyond this beak 37.

The stopper mechanism 5 further includes a ringing lock control rocker 17, which is arranged to control a change of position of the ringing release lever 55, during an instantaneous jump of this ringing lock control rocker 17, as soon as the level of energy available at said storage means crosses a predefined threshold: in a first direction for disengaging the bell, when the energy in the storage means is lower than this threshold, or reverses in the opposite direction to re-authorize the operation of a bell, when the energy in the storage means has again become greater than this predefined threshold.

This ring lock control latch 17 comprises, at a first end, a fork 19 arranged to surround the locking pin 31, and, under this fork 19, a lug 179, which is arranged to cooperate with a second spring 39, or with a jumper that this second spring 39 controls, giving the striking latch control rocker 17 a bistable behavior, as will be seen later in the description of the operation. Naturally, the second release spring 39 can, in a variant, be made in one piece with the strike lock control rocker 17.

The bell lock control rocker 17 comprises, at a second opposite end, a control arm 18. This control arm 18 bears on a pin 16 that includes the ring inversion rocker 59, which is itself even articulated on a first side with the bell release lever 55.

The striking inversion rocker 59 is articulated on a second side with a clutch rocker 12, returned by a clutch spring 13, and cooperating with a pull tab 11 cooperating conventionally with the stem 10 of the time setting control and winding the watch. Naturally the release spring 13 can, in a variant, be made in one piece with the release rocker 12. The release rocker 12 advantageously carries an indicator 14, such as a flap visible through a window as visible on the figure 15 , or even such as a needle facing pictograms or the like, or any other suitable display system, intended to notify the operator very simply of the availability or not of the ringtones.

THE figures 15 to 32 expose the kinematics of the stop mechanism 5, which operates reversibly, the figures 33 to 36 illustrating the reverse maneuver.

From the initial position of the figure 15 , the moving wheel 35 drives the stopper wheel 33, until, as visible on the figure 19 , the oblong slot 34 comes into contact with the locking pin 31, then pivoting the locking pin 30, which is in contact by its point 32 with the first surface 37A of the locking jumper 36, which is close one of its flanks 30A. Stop finger 30, thus driven indirectly by running wheel set 35, must overcome the upward slope represented by this first surface 37A and the torque imposed by first spring 38.

A ce stade la goupille d'arrêtage 31 n'est pas encore en contact avec le bord de la fourchette 19 de la bascule de commande de verrou de sonnerie 17.After having traversed an angle of approximately 20°, the tip 32 of the stop finger 30 comes to the top 37 of the slope of the first surface 37A of the stop jumper 36, as visible on the figure 20 . At this stage the locking pin 31 is not still in contact with the edge of the fork 19 of the bell lock control rocker 17.

The cooperation of the stop pin 30 and the stop jumper 36 makes it possible to bring the stop pin 31 into abutment on this fork 19, to control a sudden pivoting of the striking bolt control rocker 17 by instantaneous change position of a lug 179 that the latter comprises with respect to a second spring 39: as soon as the tip 32 of the stop finger 30 has passed the top 37, and comes into contact with the second surface 37B of the stop jumper 36, the locking pin 31 comes into contact with the edge of the fork 19. The second spring 39 comprises a tip 390 which passes from one side to the other of the lug 179 of the lock control rocker. bell ring 17, whose second spring 39 thus causes the reversal.

This second spring 39 thus constitutes a striking bolt control jumper, which is arranged to constrain the fork 19 of the striking bolt control rocker 17 to rest on a stoker 7, preferably one on each side of the fork 19 , or on a limiting wall, in each of the two positions that the bell lock control rocker 17 can occupy, giving it its bistable character.

Dans cette position finale la fourchette 19 est en appui contre l'étoqueau 7.The stopper finger 30 travels around an additional 20° before arriving in the final stop position of the figure 29 , where the locking pin 31 bears against the other end of the fork 19, the second flank 30B of the locking pin 30 being in contact with the second surface 37B of the locking jumper 36. In this final position the fork 19 rests against stoke 7.

The triggering thus achieved is instantaneous, and provides total safety.

The function works in both directions.

The invention makes it possible to perform a stoppage in grand ring mode, when the stop function and the grand ring mode exist. The same is true for the small bell mode and the silent mode.

This striking mechanism 100 is first exposed without a stopper mechanism.

La pièce des quarts et le limaçon des quarts usuels ne sont pas représentés, de façon à simplifier l'exposé du fonctionnement.THE figures 1 and 2 show the small bell position, which strikes the full hours as it passes, and the quarter-hours alone as it passes. The quarter part and the usual quarter cochlea are not shown, so as to simplify the description of the operation.

The star 130, arranged close to the mobiles of the references 1, is arranged to come to cooperate, every quarter of an hour, with a beak 72, in particular elastic, that comprises the lifting 70 of striking trigger, which pivots in a pivot 73 .

This hour part 20 includes a feeler 29 arranged to feel a cochlea hour 190, and a rake 25 arranged to cooperate with a rack pinion 24 that includes a strike driving wheel set 2. This hour part 20 also includes, recessed relative to the feeler 29, a rib 23 separating the oblong slot 26 from an internal clearance 28, and this rib 23 is terminated, on the same side as the feeler 29, by a plate 27 for abutment support.

The striking trainer mobile 2 comprises, for its part, in a conventional manner, a trigger ratchet 22, with which is arranged to cooperate, either a main striking pawl 85, or else a minute repeater trigger pawl 40, provided with a pin 41, and which includes a minute repeater control 4, where this last pawl 40 cooperates with a spring 43.

The pivoting of the ringing trigger lift 70 causes the pivoting of a trigger rocker 50 by the movement, which carries a thrust spring 52 which bears on the main ring pawl 85, which also carries the trigger rocker 50 .

A small ring rocker 80 of the conventional type carries a stop pin 82. This small ring rocker 80, recalled by a release spring 83 fixed to a plate, comprises a release lip 81, which is arranged to rest on a cam pin 97, which includes a mode selector cam 90, which includes a mode selector mechanism 9.

The small bell rocker 80 faces the hour part 20 during the angular travel of the latter, and the stop pin 82 is at the level of the rib 23 of the hour part 20, on the same radius, which gives it makes it possible to cooperate in abutment with the plate 27 of the hour part 20, and to immobilize the latter by preventing it from reaching the hour cochlea 190, so as not to repeat the striking of the hours at each quarter , depending on the operation specific to the small bell mode.

In order to ensure the striking of the hour at the full hour, the star 130 is secured to a teardrop-shaped hour cam 131, the point of which 132 is arranged to raise the small ring rocker 80, and therefore its stop pin 82, for allow the passage to the feeler 29 of the hour 20 piece to carry out its reading on the hour 190 cochlea.

THE figures 3 and 4 show the position of the Grande Sonnerie, which strikes the full hours as it passes, and both the hour and the quarter-hour as it passes. The usual quarter piece and quarter cochlea are not shown. The support of the cam pin 97 on the small bell rocker 80 is made at a greater distance from the end of the clutch release 81 than in the case of the small bell, and therefore the stop pin 82 n is no longer at the 23 rib, nor the 27 flat of the 20 hour piece, but is at the 28 undercut, allowing the 20 hour piece to swing freely to the 190 hour cochlea every quarter of hour.

For operation in silent mode, the ringing mechanism 100 includes a large ringing and small ringing isolator, hereinafter referred to as silence rocker 60. This silence rocker 60 has at a first end a reading beak 61 arranged to cooperate with one of the peripheral zones 98 of the mode selection cam 90, and at a second end 62 a main arm 64, which is arranged to stop a main pawl pin 86, which comprises the main ring pawl 85. This rocker of silencer 60 comprises, in its middle part close to its pivot, a silencer pin 63.

The spring 65 forces the silence rocker 60 via the pin 63, for this rocker is always in contact with the cam 90 by its beak 61. When the mode selected is the silence mode, this silence rocker 60 pivots and its part 62 disconnects the pawl 85 from the ratchet 22. The cam pin 97 is in contact with the clutch release 81 of the small ring rocker 80. During a minute repeater (in small ring mode), a rocker not shown in the figures makes the connection between the command 4 and the rocker light 80, so that the 20 hour rake can fall on the 190 hour cochlea of part 1.

This silence rocker 60 is visible on the figures 5 to 11 , which comprise the stop mechanism 5, which essentially comprises a ringing release lever 55. The striking mechanism 100 thus comprises, partially superimposed, the silence rocker 60 and the ringing release lever 55, which are each arranged to hinder the access of a particular pawl to the ratchet 22 of the mobile striking trainer 2. Indeed, the striking disengaging lever 55 includes a stop arm 56, which is arranged to stop a repeater pawl pin 41, which includes a minute repeater trigger pawl 40, of the 4 minute repeat command.

The figures show the particular arrangement of the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater trigger pawl 40, which are both located on the same side of the striking drive mobile 2 and its ratchet 22, between the mode 90 and this ratchet 22. This arrangement is particularly favorable, due to a particularly reduced volume, short distances between the various components, allowing the use of more rigid rockers, and it allows the design of a mechanism of stopping that is both compact, reliable and efficient. This arrangement is made possible in particular by the interposition of the trigger rocker 50 between the lift 70 or first bell trigger rocker, and the main pawl 85: this trigger rocker 50 supports the articulation of this main pawl 85, and includes the spring 52 which pushes on this pawl; it allows the positioning of the main pawl 85 on the same side as the minute repeater trigger pawl 40 with respect to the ratchet 22, it reverses the direction of pivoting of the main pawl 85 with respect to a standard assembly where the latter would be in direct contact with lifting 70, and above all makes it possible to generate energy savings by precisely managing the engagement and exit of the beak of the main pawl 85 with respect to the ratchet 22. In particular, the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater trigger pawl 40 are substantially aligned thanks to this new arrangement, and the silence rocker 60 and the bell disengagement lever 55 can be superimposed, in an almost collinear manner, which greatly simplifies the control and the stopping of the bells, by reducing the number components and the operating strokes of these components.

THE figures 5 and 6 show the position of silent mode, in which the small strike and the large strike are disengaged, but where operation of the minute repeater is authorized. The reading beak 61 of the silence rocker 60 bears on the largest radius 98S of a peripheral bearing surface 98 of the cam 90, and, as a result, on the one hand the small bell rocker 80 is stopped by the cam pin 97 and the spring 67 and, on the other hand, the main arm 64 of the silence rocker 60, visible on the figure 11 , is in its furthest position from the driving mobile of bell 2, and stops the main pawl pin 86. On the other hand, the bell disengagement lever 55 is very close to the bell driving mobile 2, since nothing opposes this extreme position, and therefore the pawl of triggering of minute repeater 40 is not hindered and can access the trigger ratchet 22, and the minute repeater can therefore be launched at will by the user.

When the stop mechanism 5 comes into operation, when the energy available is insufficient to ensure normal and complete execution of a ringing, and therefore with a return of all the components to the rest position after the end of the play of the ringing, the ringing latch control rocker 17 pivots abruptly, causing the pivoting of the ringing reversing rocker 59 by its pin 16. The ringing reversing rocker 59 is articulated with the clutch release lever. ringtone 55, which it immediately moves away from the ringtone mobile 2, to also move away the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater trigger pawl 40, thus preventing the execution of any ringtone.

When the user reloads the barrel or barrels, he maneuvers the rod 10: the position T1 conventionally corresponds to, in a first direction, the recharging of the movement barrel and in the other direction, the recharging of the striking barrel, the position T2 being reserved for setting the time of the watch.

When the user reloads the barrel or barrels, it is only when the energy level has again become sufficient that the striking lock control flip-flop 17 can perform the reverse jump, then causing the reversing flip-flop to ringtone 59 and the tilting of the ringtone disengagement lever 55 to authorize ringtones. The user must wind the barrel a certain number of turns, in order to guarantee a minimum of ringing. To this end, the winding train comprises one or more barrels cooperating with at least one ratchet and a differential mechanism, in particular comprising a friction mechanism, and, the adjustment of which defines the predefined threshold at which the stopping, or the release in the 'other way. The shifting of the release lever is instantaneous.

When the user sets the time of the watch, the passage in position T2 of the rod 10 causes the pivoting of the pull tab 11, disengages the disengagement lever 12, then driving the striking inversion lever 59 and the tilting of the bell disengagement lever 55. The latter comprises the stopper arm 56 which disengages the repeater pawl 41 and the main striking pawl 85. This mechanism thus allows the user to set the time in both directions in complete safety, since no striking is then not possible.

The combination of this mechanism with the stop mechanism thus constitutes an improvement favorable to the safety of operation of the watch in all circumstances.

The stop mechanism is coupled to that for disengaging the pawls in position T2. These safety mechanisms use the same components to disengage the bell reversing rocker pawls 59 and bell disengagement lever 55), but these mechanisms operate independently of each other.

The stop mechanism 5 is arranged to disengage all the pawls, when the quantity of energy available, at the level of the barrel(s) or the like, is insufficient. This time, the reading beak 61 of the silence rocker 60 rests on the smallest radius 98AGS of the peripheral bearing surface 98 of the cam 90, and, at its second end 62 the main arm 64 of the silence rocker 60 is in its position closest to the bell driver mobile 2, and cannot stop the main pawl pin 86. On the other hand, the bell release lever 55 is in its position farthest from the bell driver mobile 2, and thereby obstructs both the main pin 86 of the main pawl 85 and the repeater pawl pin 41, so the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater trigger pawl 40 are impeded and cannot access the detent ratchet 22 The minute repeater cannot be activated by the user. No bell can therefore be launched. Nothing stands in the way of another mode selection maneuver.

These figures show the ringing inversion rocker 59 for the articulated control of the ringing release lever 55. The reading beak 61 of the silence rocker 60 is supported on the largest radius 98S of the peripheral bearing 98 of the cam 90, and the main arm 64 of the silence rocker 60 is in its furthest position from the strike driving mobile 2, and stops the main pawl pin 86. The strike release lever 55 is also in its furthest position. furthest from the ringing trainer mobile 2, and hinders the repeater pawl pin 41. Therefore the main pawl 85 and the minute repeater pawl 40 are blocked and cannot access the trigger ratchet 22.

It is understood that the stoppage is only active in the sole case where there is no longer enough energy, and that, otherwise, this stoppage mechanism is disengaged.
