Description

The invention relates to a folding system, in particular a glass folding system, according to the preamble of claim 1.

In order, for example, to achieve a uniform, parallel course of the wing profiles in folding walls and to offer stability under wind loads, the fittings, usually hinges, of which the upper and lower ones also have supporting and guiding functions, are often evenly distributed over the folding walls divided over the entire wing height. However, the fitting parts protruding over the wing profiles are perceived as visually disturbing. For example from the DE 102 39 446 C1 , the DE 10 2015 112 640 B3 or EP 1 063 376 A2 So-called hidden hinges are already known, which do not protrude from the front or back when the door is closed, but disappear completely into the door and frame rebate. Such hinges usually have five-axis holding systems, are structurally complex and are quite large. In order to accommodate them, the wing profiles must have a minimum width. The frame of windows and glass doors must also be relatively wide to ensure the immersion depth of these conventional hidden hinges. From the GB 2 513 835 A another folding system is known.

The invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a folding system that can be designed to be visually appealing with slim wing profiles but withstands upcoming loads. Specifying a folding system with a device, whereby movable flat components can be securely held together in the closed state with the device and the device can be designed to be optically receding even with slim and narrow profiles, is also within the scope of this task.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a folding system with a fixing device according to claim 1.

Since in movable, especially flat components such as windows, doors or the like, an upper and a lower fitting or hinge are able to absorb the static weights and possibly tipping loads that occur, the invention creates a folding system with a fixing device, whereby the Fixing device can be used additionally on movable, flat components in order to absorb wind loads over the height, for example, to compensate for distortion due to thermal effects and/or to ensure uniform sealing pressure over the entire length. For this purpose, the fixing device contains two fitting parts that are not connected to one another when the component is open, one of which is firmly connected to the movable, flat component and the other is firmly connected to the other component. One of the fitting parts has a fixing projection, which can preferably be designed like a tab. The fixing projection is pivotable about a fixing axis that is fixed relative to the flat component and is fastened in a biased manner away from the component. This can preferably be formed by an arrangement with a spring, in particular a spiral spring, and an axle pin. The pivotability However, prestressing of the fixing projection can also be achieved with a one-piece fitting part by specifically designed elastically designed areas of the fitting part. According to the invention, the second fitting part of the fixing device has a guide surface and a holding element. If the component sides carrying fitting parts move towards one another, the free end of the fixing projection first touches the guide surface of the opposite fitting part and then slides along it towards the holding element until it gets caught with it. As a result, when the components are closed or when the folding system is closed, the components or sashes are fixed to one another and stabilized against transverse forces without the need for a permanent connection between the two fitting parts. If the components open again, it is structurally possible for the fitting parts to detach themselves from each other again when the fixing projection moves away from the holding element.

Since the fitting parts are not permanently connected to one another, but only interact when they come into contact, the fixing device can be used not only with connected components that can be pivoted towards one another, but also, for example, with sliding elements. The fixing device for profile stabilization can also be used against wind loads, particularly between sliding sashes arranged in a track.

The holding element preferably forms a trough into which the free end of the fixing projection can dip. The trough of the holding element can also be formed in a projection which consists of a plane formed by the guide surface emerges. A rounded design of the trough with a radius that is smaller than the distance of the free end of the fixing projection from its fixing axis is particularly advantageous. This ensures, on the one hand, that the free end of the fixing projection easily slides into the trough and, on the other hand, that it gets caught securely in the position intended to be closed, since when the fitting parts move towards one another, the radius of the trough, as it were, dips into the swivel radius of the free end of the fixing projection and so on Panning stops.

Since the fixing projection is prestressed away from the component to which it is attached, functional reliability is improved if the fitting part has a stop that limits the pivoting of the fixing projection in the direction of the prestressing. This ensures that the fixing projection is always in the correct position when the components are open so that it can slide into the fixing position when closed. This means that a greater preload can be selected, which improves fixation in the closed position. The stop is preferably to be arranged in such a way that when the components are open there is an opening angle of the fixing projection relative to the narrow side of the component of less than 90°, preferably approximately 30° to 40°.

Although folding systems according to the invention can be used with advantage if the fixing devices, as described above, only have a fixing projection on one fitting part and the guide surface and the holding element on the other fitting part, it is particularly advantageous if each fitting part has a fixing projection and a holding element. This not only fixes moving components, but also centers them when the fittings move completely towards each other. For this purpose, the fitting part can be designed in such a way that the fixing projection is located in one area and the holding element is located in an area adjacent thereto, so that both do not interfere with each other. A clever design enables both fitting parts of the fixing device to be identical, which then only have to be arranged in a twisted manner on the opposing components. This also reduces storage costs by reducing the number of components required.

Of course, each fitting part of the fixing device can have not only one fixing projection and/or a holding element, but also several fixing projections and/or holding elements.

In particular, glass folding systems with wings connected to a chain, which are folded against each other to open the system, can be designed to be more visually appealing, more delicate and with narrow frame profiles by using the fixing devices described above. This makes it possible to accommodate the weight of the sash using upper and lower support and guide fittings and to securely fasten long and high sashes to one another over their entire height by installing one or more fixing devices of the type described above between the support and guide fittings (the usual hinges). be inserted into the frame profiles. If arranged cleverly, the fixing devices can preferably be located completely within a gap between two adjacent ones The wings of the folding system are located so that they are not visible from the outside or the inside of the folding system. This also makes it possible to provide adjacent wings with continuous internal and external seals, between which the fixing device is arranged. Such an arrangement has variable gap dimensions and continuous sealing levels, which improves the thermal insulation properties. In addition, the fixing devices are not visible to the viewer, which not only offers visual advantages but also improved burglary protection.

In the Fig. 1 The folding system according to the invention shown comprises a chain of three flat components 1, 2, 3, which are designed here as glass wings with narrow frame profiles 1 ', 2', 3'. The wings 1,2,3 are pivotally and partially displaceably guided in an outer frame 4 via support and guide fittings 5,6. The inner support and guide fittings 5 are in the Fig. 1 visible, while the outer support and guide fittings 6 are not visible from the inside of the folding system shown, so that the reference number 6 only indicates their position. The folding system has locking handles 7. The opening direction of the folding system is shown by an arrow. The wings 1,2,3 move over the position in Fig. 2 until the folding system is completely opened Fig. 3 . For example, there can be fixing devices at the positions indicated by circles, one of which is shown in more detail in the large figures.

Based on Fig. 4 ff. The fixing devices are explained, which can be arranged as required in various positions between pivotable wings 1, 2, 3 and between a pivotable wing, here 3, and another component, here the outer frame 4. In the embodiment shown, the fixing device consists of two fitting parts 11, which are screwed here to the narrow sides of the frame profiles 2 'and 3'. If you first look at only the upper half of each fitting part 11, the right fitting part 11 has a fixing projection 12 designed as a tab, which can be pivoted about a fixing axis 13 and is biased away from the frame profile 3 'by means of a spiral spring 14. The maximum opening angle α of the tab 12 relative to the fastening side of the component 3 'is in Fig. 5 marked and is limited to between 30° and 40° by a stop 15. The upper half of the in Fig. 4 Left fitting part 11 has a guide surface 17 and a holding element 18, which cooperate with the fixing projection 12.

The Fig. 4 ff. show a particularly preferred embodiment in which each fitting part has both a fixing projection 12 and a guide surface 17 and a holding element 18. Therefore, in the Fig. 5 , 7 , 9 and 11 (Sectional top views) to recognize identical elements on both sides. The fitting parts 11 can thus advantageously even be designed identically. In their opposite arrangement, they not only fix the components against each other when closing, but also center a gap in between, which is caused by the supporting and guide fittings 5,6 and the resulting swivel axis of the components, which is symbolized by a cross 20 in the figures.

In the Fig. 4 to 11 (each in pairs) is the sequence of movements when the narrow sides of the frame profiles 2', 3' are swiveled towards each other until the folding system is completely closed ( 10 and 11 ) shown. The wings 2, 3 with their frame profiles 2 ', 3' carrying glass panes 21 pivot towards each other about the pivot axis 20 or the pivot point 20 with the fitting parts 11 ( Fig. 6,7 ). In Fig. 8,9 a position is reached in which the tabs 12 come into contact with the guide surfaces 17 of the opposite fitting part 11 with their free end 12 'facing away from the fixing axis 13. By further pivoting the wings 2.3 ( Fig. 10,11 ), the free ends 12 'of the tabs 12 slide along the guide surfaces 17, whereby the tabs 12 are applied against their preload. The free ends 12 'of the tabs 12 engage in the trough-like holding elements 18 and get caught with them. This is done particularly easily and without unnecessary friction in that the trough of the holding element 18 is designed with a radius which preferably corresponds to the design of the free end 12 'of the tab and is significantly smaller than the pivoting radius of the tab 12, corresponding to the distance A of its free end 12' from the fixing axis 13 (shown in Fig. 7 ) is.

The 10 and 11 also illustrate that the fixing device enables an embodiment in which the fixing device is arranged completely within a gap 22 between two closed, adjacent wings 2,3 can. The gap 22 can be closed on both sides, outside and inside, by seals with continuous sealing lips 23, with advantages for windproofness, appearance and burglary protection.

With the fixing devices shown, the folding system is self-centering between its wings 1, 2, 3, but the gap size is variable. This means that the fixing devices can be used individually for different gap widths. Each fitting part 11 of the fixing devices can, as shown in the drawing, consist of only four parts, namely the guide surface 17 with a molded-on holding element 18, the fixing projection 12, the spring 14 and a pin forming the fixing axis 13.

If, for example, it is necessary to separate the wings 2, 3 from each other to clean the outer surfaces, only the fittings 6 at the top and bottom need to be loosened. This is not necessary for the fixing devices, as they are not firmly connected to one another, but instead separate automatically when the wings 2, 3 are opened. By using a variable number of fixing devices, different wind load requirements can be met, even with tall and slim sashes. The practical benefit of such fixing devices is therefore considerable, as is the visual benefit, especially with large glass surfaces and slim profiles.
