Diese Funktionsstellung wird solange beibehalten, bis die Drehfalle in ihre vollständig oder nahezu vollständig geöffnete Position übergeht.
Erfindungsgemäß verfügt die Drehfalle über eine mit der Federlippe wechselwirkende Kontur. Die Kontur sorgt dafür, dass die Drehfalle im Zuge ihrer Öffnungsbewegung die Federlippe von ihrer Anlage am Auslöseelement abhebt. D. h., sobald die Kontur an der Drehfalle auf die Federlippe arbeitet, wird die Federlippe von ihrer Anlage an der Ausformung am Auslöseelement abgehoben, so dass im Anschluss daran das Auslöseelement und mit ihm die Sperrklinke nicht (mehr) in ausgehobener Stellung gehalten wird bzw. werden. Hierfür mag eine Feder sorgen, welche das Auslöseelement und mit ihm die Sperrklinke in entsprechendem Sinne beaufschlagt. Im Anschluss daran liegt die Sperrklinke an einer Außenkante der Drehfalle an, kann jedoch in eine Vorrastausnehmung nicht (mehr) einfallen, weil die Drehfalle bis jenseits dieser Vorrastausnehmung geöffnet ist.
Da die Federlippe nach vorteilhafter Ausgestaltung an das Gehäuse oder den Schlossbestandteil (aus Kunststoff) angeformt ist, empfiehlt es sich, dass die Federlippe eine im Wesentlichen senkrechte Auslenkbewegung im Vergleich zu ihrer Längsausdehnung vollführt. D. h., die Federlippe wird senkrecht zu ihrer Längsausdehnung verschwenkt, um mit der Ausformung am Auslöseelement wechselwirken zu können, sobald das Auslöseelement eine Beaufschlagung in dem Sinne erfährt, dass die Sperrklinke von der Drehfalle abgehoben wird.
